We also need legal wind readings on these events : 100,200,HH, LJ,TJ. No marks will count if we don’t have wind readings:!!! Tuohy is the first athlete in history to win the Gatorade Player of the Year national title for two different sports, cross country and track & field. Check out the surprise video here. “With national records from the mile to the 5,000 meters, Katelyn Tuohy has reached a level in high school distance running that we’ve seen only once before, with Mary Cain a few years ago,” said Doug Binder, Editor-in-Chief for Dyestat.com. “But to do this as a sophomore, Katelyn’s even beyond Mary’s level of accomplishment. No one in modern times has ever held the outdoor high school records in both the mile and the 2-mile [converted from her national record in the 3200], and Tuohy got both records in high school-only races where she had to do all of the work.     Olympic Trials Proved to Be the One Unfortunate Stumbling Block of the Year

    2016 Eugene – July 1 to July 10 The hosting of the Trials in Eugene three times in a row, for the second time, was unprecedented, and while the Trials saw no World Records on this occasion, they did produce a terrific series of marks and dramas. With live action in field events by NBC best described as minimal, US television did a typically poor job in covering what still remains as the best domestic track and field meeting in the world. The crowds and weather conditions were as follows: Attendance: July 1—20,987, July 2—21,866, July 3—22,424, July 4—21,713, July 7—21,835, July 8—22,256, July 9— 22,847, July 10—22,944 for a total of 176,972. (There was no admission charge for hammer day, July 6).
