ESCRIPTION: The 2020 Ryder Cup is seeking hard-working individuals to join our operations team. This 30 to 35- D person team of Operations Assistants will play a vital role in executing one of the most prominent sporting events in the world. Every two years, the Ryder Cup brings together 12-member teams from the U.S. and for glory and pride on a three-day worldwide stage. Spanning 92 years and now 42 competitions, the Ryder Cup also is among the last great professional sporting events where winning, and not prize money, is the reward.

UTIES: The Operations Assistants will help the 2020 Ryder Cup Operations Staff in the construction, daily D operation and deconstruction of the Ryder Cup. While on-site at Whistling Straits, you will get a “behind the scenes glimpse” into major event management. This position requires a strong work ethic, since most of the jobs are labor intensive. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to: trailer placement, furniture distribution, landscaping, painting, wind screening, operating heavy machinery, and organizing deliveries.

A successful Ryder Cup depends on your willingness to learn, ability to make informed decisions and cooperation within a team. Individuals must be able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment. This is a deadline-driven event, and you must be able to work long hours, outdoors, and weekends. It is imperative to act professionally because you will represent the 2020 Ryder Cup staff.

This is a paid position, and all Operations Assistants will be employed on a temporary basis through an outside agency and are not employees of the PGA of America. All applicants must pass a background check and provide their own transportation. A PGA housing option will be provided if needed. Lunch, beverages and uniforms will be provided for each working day.
