Raigmore Hospital, Inverness Medical and Diagnostics Division Department of Medical Physics & Bio-Engineering Electro-Medical Equipment Services Section Medical Equipment Technician – Band 4 Full-time, Permanent

Salary scale: £18,652 - £21,798

Applications are invited for this post which is based within the Electro-medical Equipment Services Section at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. The section provides a comprehensive medical equipment management service to the Highlands. This is a full time post and the hours are 37.5 per week.

The successful candidate will join our Central Equipment Team and will commission, maintain and repair a variety of medical equipment. These services are provided to all of our acute hospitals in the Highlands and the post holder will occasionally be expected to work away from base in order to carry out planned maintenance at distant sites: A full licence to drive in the UK is therefore essential.

Ideally, applicants should have an HNC or degree in electronics or other appropriate discipline. Experience in repairing and maintaining equipment is essential and previous experience with medical equipment is highly desirable. Manufacturers and in-house training may be provided as required. The successful applicant will possess good interpersonal skills.
