Sawo Manila, Pasar Minggu, Jakarta 12520, Indonesia. Abstract. For the past decade, active suspension systems had made up most of research area concerning vehicle dynamics. For this review, recent studies on automobile active suspensions systems were examined. Several vehicular suspension types were also described to compare amongst them. From published investigations by previous researchers, various automotive suspensions in terms of cost, weight, structure, reliability, ride comfortability, dynamic and handling performance were exhibited and compared. After careful examination, it was concluded that electromagnetic active suspensions should be the general direction of vehicle suspension designs due to its energy regeneration, high bandwidth, simpler structure, flexible and accurate force control, better handling performance as well as drive characteristics. FILE: SERVICE: GROUP 00 OF SERVICE INFORMATION BINDER PARTS: GROUP I OF INFORMATION _ PARTS & ACCESSORIES BINDER Campaign No. 2007060002, June 2007 TO: ALL MERCEDES-BENZ CENTERS SUBJECT: MODELS 215, 220 MODEL YEARS 2000-2004 REPLACE ACTIVE BODY CONTROL (ABC) HIGH PRESSURE DISTRIBUTION HOSE (M113 ENGINE) This Recall Campaign has been initiated because DCAG has determined that on affected vehicles corrosion may occur in the inner steel portions of the Active Body Control’s high-pressure distribution hose due to extensive exposure to humidity. Over time, corrosion may deteriorate the inner steel portions of the ABC’s high-pressure distribution hose. This may result in ABC hydraulic fluid leakage near the catalytic converter of the subject vehicles. Under some circumstances leaking hydraulic fluid may come in contact with hot engine components and lead to a possibility of fire. Prior to performing this Recall Campaign: • Please check VMI to insure the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously repaired. • Please review the entire Recall Campaign bulletin and follow the procedure steps exactly as described. Attached is a sample copy of a letter which owners of the affected vehicles will receive. Approximately 19,824 vehicles are affected. Order No. P-RC-2007060002 This bulletin has been created and maintained in accordance with MBUSA-SLP S423QH001, Document and Data Control, and MBUSA-SLP S424HH001, Control of Quality Records. 2 Procedure NOTE: Refer to the MSDS (via NetStar or the Parts Assistance Center website) for a complete description of hazards and other important safety information regarding the hydraulic fluid used in this procedure.

A taut suspension is well suited for motoring fun, ABC is hydraulic, whereas SAS is pneumatic, using but may not be very comfortable on rough roads. air springs, but also incorporates ADS II, which Mercedes-Benz engineers believe in the use of controls the vehicle’s dampening hydraulically. Of creative technology to provide a combination of course, it’s very important for proper diagnosis and repair to be able to know for sure what the vehicle you’re working on is equipped with. Certain models, such as the early 230 chassis SL- Class, use the ABC hydraulic system, which controls ride height. With its built-in intelligence, if the driver has selected a high setting, it will be overridden whenever the vehicle exceeds 68mph -- the body will descend to its lowest position for optimum center-of-gravity and handling. SAS can be found on later chassis, such as the 211 E-Class. It is an evolution of the older Airmatic system found in the 220 chassis S-Class.

Mercedes-Benz 2005 CL-Class CL500 CL55 AMG CL600 Forget everything you know about driving Let go of all preconceived notions of how a car is supposed to look, feel and drive. Then start at the very beginning. That’s where Mercedes-Benz began when we invented the very first automobile in 1886 — without any template to follow, just an idea and the passion to pursue it. It’s from that same desire to pioneer original technologies and new driving experiences that the iconic CL-Class is born. Its sophisticated pillarless coupe design combines with innovations such as Active Body Control — the most advanced active suspension in production — and a thoroughly luxurious 4-passenger cabin to redefine your expectations of what a car can be. So whether you choose the refined V-8 strength of the CL500, the unrelenting power of the twin-turbo V-12 CL600 or the exhilarating rush of the supercharged CL55 AMG, it’s time to drive like never before.
