2019 BOWIE BAYSOX GAME NOTES Sunday, April 7, 2019 - 1:00 p.m. FNB Field -- Harrisburg, PA Bowie Baysox (0-3) @ Harrisburg Senators (3-0) LHP Zac Lowther (0-0, 0.00 ERA) vs. RHP Sterling Sharp (0-0, 0.00 ERA) Game #4 // Road Game #4 2019 SEASON In Case You Missed It: The Baysox were swept in a doubleheader yesterday by the Harrisburg Senators. In the first Overall Record 0-3 game, Bowie jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the second inning, thanks in-part to a three-run home run from Ryan Home Record 0-0 McKenna. However after the five run outburst in the second, the Senators scored six unanswered runs, and won Road Record 0-3 the seven inning game 6-5 on a walk-off sacrifice fly. The Baysox got off to a good start again in game two, asRylan Versus Eastern Division 0-0 Bannon hit a first inning home run to make it 1-0. In the second, Chris Clare picked up his first AA hit and RBI, Versus Western Division 0-3 giving Bowie a 2-0 advantage. Once again, the offense struggled late in the game, and Harrisburg came back to Current Streak L3 secure a 4-2 win and a doubleheader sweep. Last Homestand N/A Current Road Trip 0-3 Lowther's Debut: LHP Zac Lowther makes his Eastern League debut on the mound today for the Baysox. Since being drafted by Baltimore in the second round of the 2017 MLB Draft, Lowther has dominated during his stops Last 5 Games 0-3 in Aberdeen, Delmarva and Frederick. In 2018, Lowther started the year in Delmarva, and posted a 1.16 ERA in six Last 10 Games 0-3 starts. He was then called-up to Frederick at the end of May, and excelled there as well going 5-3 with a 2.53 ERA When Scoring 4+ Runs 0-2 in 92.2 innings. In total on the season, Lowther had a 151/35 K/BB ratio in 123.2 innings. Sharp, the ninth-ranked prospect in the Nationals organization, is back in Harrisburg after vs. Right-Handed Starters 0-3 making his final 13 starts of 2018 with the Senators. In 68.2 innings, Sharp went 6-3 with a 4.33 ERA. Prior to his Day Games 0-1 promotion in June, Sharp made 14 starts with A-Potomac, going 5-3 with an ERA of 3.16, earning him Carolina Night Games 0-2 League Mid-Season All-Star honors. Britton replaces Gary No Errors Committed 0-2 Kendall, who was the head man in Bowie from 2011-2018. Last season, Britton managed the Delmarva Shorebirds, Baysox vs. Harrisburg leading the club to a 68-66 record. Prior to getting into coaching, Britton played nine seasons in Minor League Baseball, and spent parts of 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 with the Baysox. Buck is the brother of former Baysox 2019 Record: 0-3 and Orioles' left-hander Zack Britton. In fact, Bowie April 7 @HBG L, 6-5 (F/7) has not won a game on April 7 since 2006, when it beat Reading 4-0. Adam Loewen started that game for the April 7 @ HBG L, 4-2 (F/7) Baysox, going eight scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and striking out 12.
