He broke camp in 2018 with the Double-A Richmond Flying Squirrels, posting a 3.45 ERA with 93 strikeouts in 94 innings before being called up to make his Triple-A debut in Sacramento. After a non- roster invite to major-league spring training this season, he’ll begin the year as the Giants’ fifth-ranked prospect according to MLB Pipeline. TYLER BEEDE PITCHER 55 Bat: R | Throw: R | Height: 6’2” | Weight: 210 | DOB: 5/23/93 Beede, drafted in 2014’s first round out of Vanderbilt University, made more starts than any other River Cats pitcher during his Triple-A debut season in 2017 and is the No. 24-ranked prospect in the system according to MLB Pipeline. He pitched six or more innings in 11 of his 19 starts, posting a 3.47 ERA in those outings. He struggled during the 2018 season with the River Cats and was sent to the bullpen for the remainder of the year, but made some mechanical adjustments in the offseason and will be back in the rotation for 2019. TY BLACH PITCHER 46 Bat: R | Throw: L | Height: 6’1” | Weight: 205 | DOB: 10/20/90 Blach is back in a River Cats uniform after spending all of 2017 and 2018 with the San Francisco Giants.
