Can humans really know HOW God measures Time? Has time ever been lost? Is it possible to know WHEN time began? Which of the many human calendars should we use today? Did you know that Astronomers, Historians, Bible Scholars, and even God Himself; all agree on one amazing fact…? …And that FACT is that the world has ALWAYS had a measurement of time that has always consisted of a SEVEN Day Week! From Creation, right up until our present time; there has NEVER been a time, even once upon a time; when humans did not have a seven day week with which to measure and record time; and we NEVER WILL!!! Bible Study Instructions: One Nation Under God Ministries (www.onug.us) publishes and distributes weekly Bible Studies, worldwide – FREE of charge, to anyone who requests them, in both printed and electronic formats. Our Studies are intended to be a simple and fun way to Learn The Scriptures, and are very easy to follow! Now for those of you who follow our Bible Studies regularly; you know that The Bible Says The Seventh Day is The Sabbath of The LORD Thy God (Exodus 20:10 / Deuteronomy 5:14). God, as our Creator, Made heaven and earth in six days, Resting (Ceasing from His Labor) and was Refreshed on The Seventh Day (Using that First Sabbath to Educate His Son Adam, in WHO God IS, and WHAT God Intends to DO Throughout Human History). In fact, God, starting with Adam, Made The Seventh Day A Commanded Observance of His FIRST Sabbath, A Sign (Mark, or Seal) between Him and man – throughout time (Genesis 2:1-3 / Exodus 31:16-17)!!! Let’s make this even more clear for those in The New Testament Church of God, by reading Hebrews 4:1-11 and replacing the KJV replacement word “rest”, with the original word “Sabbath” or “Sabot”! The times we keep, or don’t keep, play a very important role in whether or not we get to KNOW WHO God IS, and whether or not we Learn HOW to Worship Him Correctly, AS Jesus Christ SHOWED US TO (John 4:21-26)!!! www.onug.us 3 You see, Jesus’ Words did come True! Those in Jerusalem had God’s Sabbath, and they had His High Priest too – in the flesh! But most rejected His Teachings, and most rejected His Sacrifice, and most rejected His Passover – actually killing Christ on His Passover; then celebrating “their” Jewish Passover on the next day (the 15th of Aviv, instead of the Commanded 14th day! Leviticus 23:4-8)!!! Deuteronomy 12:32 / Revelation 22:18-21!!! The Jews had the Greater Sin of The Crucifixion of Christ (John 19:11), and the Total Destruction of Jerusalem was the result!!! “His Blood Be Upon Us, And On Our Children!!!” (Matthew 27:25). 4 Jerusalem is a city that has been fought over 16 times, it has been destroyed twice, besieged 23 times, attacked in major offensives 52 times, and captured and recaptured 44 times, as of 2020! The Bible predicts there is MORE DESTRUCTION to come in the near future as well (Luke 21:24 / Matthew 24:15-16 / Mark 13:14 / Daniel 9:26-27 (Dual fulfillment), 12:7 / Revelation 11:2-3,13, 12:14, 13:5 / Zechariah 14:1-21)!!! www.onug.us The SAD FACT is this: If God’s People Living in Jerusalem, and in Ancient Israel, has Simply OBEYED God; they NEVER would have been Captured, Conquered, or Destroyed! Even Today, the Jews STILL persist in NOT Keeping God’s PERFECT Calendar; they still persist in Keeping “their” Passover, ONE DAY TOO LATE – or on The First Day of Unleavened Bread! (See our Passover Moon Chart)!!! 5 Remember: When Destruction comes SWIFTLY upon supposedly “Good” Christians or Jews; YOU can Be SURE, they are NOT Obeying God; Nor are they Keeping His Sabbaths or Holy Days as Jesus Christ Commanded us to DO in His New Testament Church!!! www.onug.us 6 Today’s Lesson was designed to complement two of our previous Bible Studies: Do You Have The Sign Of God? and The LORD’s Passover (Part 3) How Can I Know I Am Keeping It On The Correct Day? And on The Seventh Day, God Ended His Work which He had Made; and He Rested on The Seventh Day from ALL His Work which He had Made! And God Blessed The Seventh Day, and Sanctified It (Set It Apart as Holy): because that in It He had Rested from ALL His Work which God Created and Made!” (Genesis 2:1-3). There was still much more important work to do to organize and manage The New Creation; but God Himself STOPPED His Labor and thereby Set An Eternal Example for ALL of Creation Through Eternity, To FOLLOW Him in Obediently Honoring The Seventh Day as Holy to God (Isaiah 58:13-14, 66:23-24)!!! No Matter What is happening in our world, we NEVER permit civil authorities to STOP Brethren from Convocating on Sabbaths!!! 8 2) We Convocate or Gather on The Seventh Day Sabbath with others Chosen (John 15:16) by God. “Six days shall work be done: but The Seventh Day is The Sabbath of Rest (Sabat or ceasing of our Labor), an Holy Convocation (or a Holy Gathering of God’s People); ye shall do NO work Therein: It is The Sabbath of The LORD (It Belongs to Him!) in ALL your dwellings!!!” (Leviticus 23:3). 3) We Study The Word of God, Prayerfully, and In Worship of Our Father. The Sabbath Days (Leviticus 23:1-44) are for Learning and being Taught about God, His Son, and His Soon Coming Kingdom!!! www.onug.us “And He (Jesus) Taught in their synagogues, being Glorified of all! And He (Jesus) came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and, as His Custom was (and as our Custom is still today), He went into the synagogue on The Sabbath Day (Saturday), and stood up for to Read (The Scriptures)!!!” (Luke 4:16). “And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on The Sabbath Day, He (Jesus) entered into the synagogue, and Taught!!!” (Mark 1:21). “When He entered the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to Him while He was Teaching, and said, "By what authority are You doing these things, and who gave You this authority?” (Matthew 21:23). “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, ALL Power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth!!! Go ye therefore, and Teach all nations, Baptizing them in The Name of the Father, and of The Son; and with the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to Observe ALL Things whatsoever I have Commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world!!! Amen.” (Matthew 28:18-20).

    VII. THE SOUTHESK AND OTHER RUNE PRIME-STAVES OR SCANDINAVIAN WOODEN CALENDARS. BY H. F. MORLAND SIMPSON, M.A., F.S.A. SCOT. Two summers ago the Earl of Southesk showed me a walking-stick finely carved with runes and symbols, and permitted me to take a rubbing of an object strange but interesting. It was said to have belonged to a Russian Count, but nothing more was known of its previous history. The staff (fig. 1) is some 43 inches long, round, and tapering, with a brass ferrule and iron spike. The head is made of a fine pale blue-grey agate mounted in a crown-shaped setting of silver niello, of modern workmanship and Russian style, according to Lord Southesk, who is expert in gems. Below this the staff is pierced for a tassel, and the hole ornamented with a star in the same style. The wood is smooth, and fine in grain, stained or darkened by age. The inscription is 37 inch.es long, in two columns, each consisting of a double row of runes, with symbols between. The runes are spaced at irregular intervals by a sun and moon enclosed in circles (v. fig. 1, No. 1, &c.). The lower part, 5£ inches long, contains several systems of dashed runes, then quite unknown to me, and specially difficult to solve. The London Company, sponsors of the voyage, had been granted a charter by King James I of England to establish a colony in the part of America called Virginia. To foster its development, James ex­ empted the company from all taxes for seven years on all goods, chattel, ar­ mor, munitions, and furniture exported from England to the colony. A second charter of 1609 exempted the company’s employees and agents from all customs and taxes in Virginia for twenty- one years. One hundred sixty-eight years later, the shots heard round the world at Lexington and Concord signaled the start of the American Revolution. That happened for a number of reasons. Among them, there was the success of the Counter-reformation over Protestantism and Orthodoxy in Belarus and Lithuania. After 1667 Catholicism became the sign of political loyalty to the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. As a result, step by step the ruthenian nobility and the upper class of townspeople of Orthodox and Protestant faiths adopted Polish religious and cultural identity under the formula ‘gente ruthenus, natione polonus.’ Very little has been written about the ethnic ruthenian nobility of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, especially its Protestant group.
