A photo safari has always been at the top of our family’s bucket list. This summer, I made that dream a reality for our family of 12, including four grand- FKLOGUHQDJHV After months of research, I found a fantastic safari provider, Mark Homann of Homann’s Africa. The planning began in January for a July trip, which is winter in Africa and an ideal time to visit, with WHPSHUDWXUHVUDQJLQJIURPWKHVGXULQJWKHGD\WR 50s at night. 2Q-XO\RXUIDPLO\EHJDQLWVMRXUQH\VIURP various locations in the U.S. to Kilimanjaro, Tan- zania. We arrived in Tanzania late and our accommoda- tions were at the Legendary Lodge, a mid-1920s cof- fee plantation converted into a wonderful and wel- coming hotel.
