Walt Disney Productions Walt Disney Productions New Trailer Released for Disney’s ‘Cruella’ April 7, 2021 The Walt Disney Company has released a new trailer and poster for its all-new live-action feature film Cruella, starring Academy Award® winners Emma Stone and Emma Thompson, directed by Craig Gillespie. The film will release simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access for a one-time additional fee on Friday, May 28. Academy Award® winner Emma Stone (La La Land) stars in Disney’s Cruella, an all-new live-action feature film about the rebellious early days of one of cinema’s most notorious—and notoriously fashionable—villains, the legendary Cruella de Vil. Cruella, which is set in 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, follows a young grifter named Estella, a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets. One day, Estella’s flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman, a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly haute, played by two-time Oscar® winner Emma Thompson (Howards End, Sense & Sensibility). But their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable and revenge-bent Cruella. Disney’s Cruella is directed by Craig Gillespie (I Tonya) from a screenplay by Dana Fox and Tony McNamara, story by Aline Brosh McKenna and Kelly Marcel & Steve Zissis. It was produced by Andrew Gunn (Freaky Friday), Marc Platt (Mary Poppins Returns) and Kristin Burr (Christopher Robin), with Emma Stone, Michelle Wright, Jared LeBoff and Glenn Close serving as executive producers. Two-time Oscar®-winning costume designer Jenny Beavan (Mad Max: Fury Road, A Room with a View) creates the dazzling and imaginative costumes, which take on a life of their own. A bstract Romantic comedy adaptations based on bestsellers aimed at predominantly female readers have become more frequent in the fifteen years since the publication of Bridget Jones’s Diary (1996) and the financial success of its adaptation (Sharon Maguire, 2001). Contemporary popular literature and films created specifically for women have emerged alongside the spread of neoliberalist and postfeminist discourses. This thesis offers a timely examination of bestselling adapted texts, including chick lit novels, a sel f - help book and a memoir, and their romantic comedy adaptations. While some of the books and films have received individual attention in academic writing, they have not been examined together as an interconnected group of texts. This thesis is the first work to cohesively analyse representations of gender in mainstream bestsellers predominantly aimed at female readers and their romantic comedy adaptations published and released between 1996 and 2011. Through a combination of textual analysis and broader d iscursive and contextual analysis, it examines how these popular culture texts adapt and extend themes, characters , narrative style and the plot structure from Bridget Jones’s Diary .

No stranger to comicbook-based material, Adler has produced such graphic-based fare as "Constantine," "Superman Returns" and the upcoming Brandon Routh starrer "Dead of Night," which is based on the popular Italian title "Dylan Dog." This material is definitely in my strike zone in more ways than one," Adler said, noting his prior role as a producer of such horror projects as the "Tales From the Crypt" series. "But what really appealed to me wasn't so much the genre trappings but rather the characters that really drive this story." Set during WWII, story revolves around an infectious mist unleashed on a military base that transforms its victims into preternatural creatures of the night. But when the survivors try to kill them, they adapt and change into something even more horrific and unstoppable. Studio 407's Alex Leung will also serve as a producer on "Night and Fog." Adler and McCarthy are also teaming to produce an adaptation of "Havana Nocturne" along with Eric Eisner. They also recently optioned Ken Bruen's crime thriller "Tower." "Night and Fog" is available in comic shops in the single-issue format and digitally on iPhone through Comixology.

Hidden Mickey Hunt What is a Hidden Mickey? A Hidden Mickey is a sihouette or head and ears of Mickey Mouse. It is usually one large circle and two smaller circles. These Hidden Mickey's are placed in rides, attractions, hotels, and all around the Walt Disney World Resort by the Disney Imagineers. It is a lot of fun to search out for the Hidden Mickey's around Disney World. Can you find them? Magic Kingdom® Park • The bridle on the Trolley Car horses on Main Street have a couple of Hidden Mickey's. • At the end of Main Street by Cinderella's Castle is a landscaped area where they have a statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse. Around the base of the statue, there are flowers encircled by a rail. The shadow of the detail in the rail forms a hidden Mickey. You can see this hidden Mickey in the morning before noon. • At this same statue, there is a Mickey ring on Walt's hand. Epcot® • When coming from the World Showcase lagoon, walking towards Spaceship Earth, you'll see two huge trees in front of Spaceship Earth. This is an upside-down hidden Mickey where the trees make Mickey's ears and Spaceship Earth is Mickey's head. • In front of Spaceship Earth, there is a mural. On that mural is a rocket with a four digit number running down the side. Look for the number 3. It is black while the other three digits are red.
