During the ensuing discussion of the foregoing, reference was made to the proposals contained in the draft Submission Copy of the emerging Core Strategy in respect of a new village around Gaydon. The Panel acknowledged that such development would impact on the Warding proposals but considered that they would not be delivered before 2019. Accordingly, this would need to be addressed at the next Review and could result in an additional Ward being created.

RECOMMENDED:

(1) That the suggested Warding Arrangements outlined above be supported and recommended to the Council for support;

(2) That, subject to the Warding Arrangements being supported by the Council, the Democratic Services Manager, in consultation with the Elections Reference Group be authorised to submit the Council’s proposals to the Local Government Boundary Commission for England.
