He crossed the line 5ft ahead, still going away, and the margin of 0.1 clearly flattered Jackson. A time of 10.3 would have been a fairer indication for both Jackson and Ashworth rather than the official version of 10.4, while Stebbins and Rivers (neither officially timed) are listed at 10.4e from videotape.
