We beg you to intercede for us, so that we might have all we need to live as disciples of your Son, and be freed from all that hinders us from following Him. Salve Regina

(Translation)

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, O most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!

Leader: Let us offer the novena prayer to Our Lady of Ransom.

ALL: Our Lady of Ransom, Immaculate Mother of God, hear our prayer. The Word of God became flesh through your fervent and pure love. You responded in love to the captives who cried out to you from their oppression, breaking the chains of their bondage. Be with us as we seek to be heralds of God's love and freedom. We ask you, dear Mother, break the chains of our slavery, so that free of them, we may be more able to imitate your Son, Jesus.

(Pause here to silently offer your personal intentions…)

Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory Be…

Leader: Our Lady of Ransom…

ALL: Pray for us.

Leader: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

ALL: Amen.

Leader: Let us go in the peace of Christ.

ALL: Thanks be to God.

Closing Hymn:

Regina caeli, laetare, alleluia. Quia quem meruisti portare, alleluia. Resurrexit, sicut dixit, alleluia. Ora pro nobis Deum, alleluia.

(translation)
