! Thy Kingdom Come Deanery Walk 2018 ! ! ! ! Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray for more people to come to know Jesus. What started in 2016 as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England has grown into an !international and ecumenical call to prayer. ! We will be taking part in the Deanery Walk calling in at churches and praying as we walk. Please join us for any of the walks, you can join or finish at any point in the day. All timings are approximate and don’t take into account stops for prayer or a break. Please bring along drinks and snacks. If !you have any questions please email [email protected] Thursday 10th May 8.00 am meet at All Saints Church ! East Cowton – short time of prayer St Mary’s, South Cowton – look around the church erected at the start of the Wars of the Roses (45 !mins) !Forest via Pepper Arden (55 mins) St. Mary’s Bolton on Swale – short time of prayer (35 mins) Ellerton Upon Swale – walk the short distance to Ellerton on the Coast to Coast path – the walk ends here but you can take the opportunity to have refreshment in The Lakeside ! Café (25 mins) Friday 11th May 8.00 am – meet at all Saints Church ! Manfield – short time of prayer St Paul’s Aldborough St John – short time of prayer and time for a break !(1 hr) St Jame’s, Melsonby (45 mins) ! Saturday 12th May 8.00 am – meet at the the church of St Mary Hutton Magna – short time of prayer Walk along the Teesdale Way to Holy Trinity Church Startforth (2 hrs 30 ! mins) Sunday 13th May 1.00 pm - meet at St Agatha’s Church Skeeby (street parking in Springfield) – short time of prayer St Paul’s Brompton on Swale – short !time of prayer (1 hr 20 mins) Walk to St Anne’s Catterick Village via the Racecourse – short time of prayer (1 hour) Refreshments served by CHIPS in St Anne’s ! Church. Monday 14th May 8.00 am – meet at outside the Kings Arms in Reeth Walk to the church of St Andrew Grinton along the Coast to Coast !footpath (40 mins) Continue along the Coast to Coast footpath to Marske and visit the church of St Edmund – there are ! some uphills today (2 hrs 25 mins) Tuesday 15th May 8.00 am – meet at the church of St Edmund Marske – short time of ! prayer. Walk along the coast to coast path to St Mary’s Church Richmond - there are some uphills today !(2hrs 30 mins) The walk today ends in St Agatha’s church Easby (30 mins) th !Wednesday 16 May No Walk Thursday 17th May 8.00 am – meet at the church of St Michael and All Angels, Middleton ! Tyas – short time of prayer Walk to Scorton via Moulton Scorton – Joan’s Café serves delicious refreshments (1 hour 55 !mins) Reflection at Scorton !Methodist Chapel, Walk via the River Swale to St Paul’s ! Brompton on Swale (50 mins) Friday 18th May 8.00 am – meet at Holy Trinity Church Tunstall – short time of prayer Walk across the fields to St Cuthbert’s Church Colburn, (1 hour) The walk then continues to St John the Evangelist, Hipswell (1 hour 5 mins) then onto St Aiden’s Church ! Catterick Garrison (40 mins) Saturday 19th May 8.00 am – meet at St Agatha’s Church Easby – short time of prayer Walk along the Old Railway Line to St Mary’s church Richmond (30 mins) The walk then continues up to Richmond Golf course (quite a steep hill), Through the woods to St Agatha’s Church Gilling West (1 hour 50 mins).
