Thursday, October 10, 2019 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT Melissa DuVall LIVING MUSIC Bio: Small town girl Mellisa DuVall grew up in Mantachie, Mississippi, and worshiped at a church where her father was the music director, and mother was the pianist. Not surprisingly, Melissa fell in love with music in a strong way and it was there that she honed her vocal ability. In 2002, DuVall moved to Nashville and found herself surrounded by everything she knew and loved, music. From singing song demos for some of the nation’s best songwriters, to sharing the stage with such names as Jeff and Sherry Easter, Michael English, Crystal Lewis, The Master’s Quartet, T. Graham Brown, and Lee Ann Womack. Melissa’s versatile vocals have been featured on shows including Ugly Betty (ABC), CMT Insider, Born Country (CMT), My Big Redneck Wedding (CMT), Trick My Trucker (CMT), Look For Less (STYLE), Hot Guys Who Cook (STYLE), E! Entertainment (E! Network), and Cheerleader Single: “Freedom” Nation (Lifetime). Label: Most Likely Music When asked about her style of singing, DuVall says, “I would say my style is Mississippi soul. Some of Songwriter: Roger Hill my greatest vocal influences are Wynonna, Reba, Trisha Yearwood, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Hometown: Nashville, TN and, of course, Elvis.” For more about Melissa, visit melissaduvall.net or mostlikelymusic.com.
