Over the past couple of weeks, I have published here the details of a few requests from collectors who are looking for particular WAFL items. While readers have been able to help a few of them out, not all of them have found what they are looking for. So, I thought I would give them one last shot. Ben was looking for some of the WAFL cards that were released in 2006, while Shane was looking for a bottle of port from 1981. Meanwhile, Kylie has a Perth glass from the early 1980s for sale for $25.

TTRANSCENDENCERANSCENDENCE ((ROADSHOW)ROADSHOW) Dr. Will Caster (Johnny Depp) is the foremost researcher in the fi eld of Artifi cial Intelligence, working to create a sentient machine that combines the collective intelligence of everything ever known with the full range of human emotions. His highly controversial experiments have made him famous, but they have also made him the prime target of anti-technology extremists who will do whatever it takes to stop him. However, in their attempt to destroy Will, they inadvertently become the catalyst for him to succeed to be a participant in his own transcendence. For his wife Evelyn (Rebecca Hall) and best friend Max Waters (Paul Bettany), both fellow researchers, the question is not if they can but if they should. Their worst fears are realised as Will1s thirst for knowledge evolves into a seemingly omnipresent quest for power, to what end is unknown. The only thing that is becoming terrifyingly clear is there may be no way to stop him. Opens April 24.

With 120 matches played each weekend in the WAAFL, keeping up to date with scores, fi xtures and where to play just got easier for players, team managers and supporters. The WAAFL launched its match day APP on the iTunes APP Store and Google Play Store for android devices. The APP provides a central portal for key match information and for umpires to complete all match day information such as final scores, fairest and best votes, team sheets and reports. “In 2013, we provided each club with an iPad and had a clunky web based form to collect this information,” said WAAFL General Manager David Armstrong. Key features of the APP include; “The APP improves on this. • Announcements “The days of posting team sheets and voting cards are long gone. • Fixtures “Information is now instant and accessible for all as games are completed. • Ladders “We feel this will lessen volunteer time and provide information • Live and final scores people want to know instantly, like scores. • Player registrations “It is difficult to have a computer at a ground, so iPads and smart • Lodging team sheets phones provide the accessibility and mobility needed. • Ground locations. “We have a demographic that uses smartphone technology and we are responding to this.” The APP also provides information to assess concussion. The WAAFL has 15,000 registered players primarily aged between The APP can be downloaded for free from the iTunes APP Store and 18 and 30 years of age. Google Play Store for android devices.
