 About this time last year we were gearing up to have body safety expert Holly-Anne Martin from Safe4Kids present her informative Protective Behaviours workshop. Holly-Anne is a fantastic speaker and everyone who attended gained some much needed insight and knowledge on how to protect their kids by teaching them to protect themselves. As a timely reminder the CRC has made up some parent packs including an "our body safety rules " poster, "I am the Boss of my body" colouring sheet, Be loud! Be proud! activity sheet and parent information posters on teaching body safety to your child. We also have "talk often, talk soon" books in stock which are free to interested parents and community members. Remember it is never to early or to late to teach Protective Behaviours and Body Safety to your child. See pages 9,10,11 for more information on body safety and protective behaviours. For more info go to http://somesecrets.info/ and http://www.safe4kids.com.au/

KK Vipers vs Narembeen 18/07/15 C grade: Narembeen won 6-2 B grade: Narembeen won 5-1 A grade: KK Vipers won 6 nil. Men: Narembeen won 9 nil.

Last weekend saw the KK Vipers over in Narembeen, the C grade kids were struggling with numbers although that didn’t show throughout the game, but they were up against a skilled Narembeen side and sadly went down 6- 2. Unlucky kids but congratulations on being 3rd on the ladder and thank you to all who filled in! B Grade was a fierce game; again the Narembeen side was skilful and had a lot of youth in their side. But that didn’t stop it from being a great contest even though the end result was 5-1. Well done to everyone involved in that game, don’t be disappointed with your efforts. A Grade put on a spectacular 6 nil defeat welcoming back Jen Henderer into the A grade side and proving they were too strong for their opposition. Well done ladies! It was a great team game and can’t wait to see what the next few weeks hold. Also a big congratulations goes to Pheobe Collard for making it into the second trials for the Under 13 State Team, good luck for your trials this weekend. The men played a Friday night game in Corrigin against Narembeen, the KK Vipers Men we’re very short and only had 10 people in the first half, and the end result being a 9 nil loss. Well done on your performance against a very young and talented Narembeen side and good luck for next week. Games for the following two weeks: 25/05/15 Women- KK Vipers vs Karlgarin/ Hyden Men- KK Vipers vs Merredin 1/08/15 Women/ Men- KK Vipers vs Bruce Rock

July 23, 2015 Sports News Kulin Kondinin Blues Juniors

Contributed by Hudson Bennier What a month it has been for the KKJFC! We had a win over Hyden when it was a cold day at the end of June (yes!!). At the start of the holidays we played Corrigin and lost to a much bigger side :( The next day was when we got to play on Domain Stadium at half time of the Dockers v. Brisbane AFL game. We saw the first quarter, in the rain, and witnessed a po- tential heart attack from Mr Cook when Sandilands got a few marks. Luckily we got the Dockers jumpers to play in. Walking out onto the oval, it was awesome. Cheers, en- couragement from random spectators. Cheers to Mr Argent for getting us there, and Mr King for pulling a hammy while goal umpiring. Glad he turned out good. We played southern cross last weekend and won! Last time we played, they gave us a thrashing. Thanks to Gary Rapacholi for sponsoring extra awards after the game.
