R 3 Reverend’s Corner Trip Itinerary; June 12 – head back to Santiago de Compostela – fly to London June 13 – 15th – Back in London June 16 – fly home to NB I write this note having completed my Camino pilgrimage where life for over two weeks was 99% void of the influences and luxuries of the outside world. Starting our trek in León Spain we immediately settled in to the simple routine of walking, being one with ourselves, with God, with a fellow pilgrim or two and at the end of each day finding a place of rest and some nourishment. One of my reflections as I look forward to this Sunday at Trinity where we will celebrate the continued life journey of those being confirmed I am again reminded that we are all on a continual journey as God opens us to His wonder and gifts He has for each one of us. In the words of Richard Peace we need to quiet ourselves so we can hear God in our lives. During our Confirmation studies we enjoyed such times where we were intentional on focusing on our lives and what God means to each of us. I give thanks to my son, David, for his inspiration that I take this time which has been beyond words at this time to appropriately describe my Camino experience. I pray that each of us as we go forward find ways in our lives to have Camino like experiences where we can ratchet back our lives to the basics where we are one with God and His Creation. Today we celebrate together as we join in the Confirmation / Affirmation of the members of our community. May God's peace surround you this day and all your days forward. ~~~~~~~ 4 Congratulations to the young people confirmed today: Lilla Beth Christie Jemma Fay Christie Hudson Derek Scaplen Kathryn Jeanette Stagg as well as the young at heart who were affirmed: Brenda Burnside Cindy Belyea Website: For those who cannot wait till Sunday to read the bulletin, it is available via Trinity Website on Fridays, thanks to Laurelle Save The Date Special Services: a. This year Bishop David Edwards chose the Archdeaconry of Moncton in which to walk. He and walking partner Trevor Fotheringham began the trek on Sunday, May 24 after the morning service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Browns Yard, on the Richibucto River, to St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Harcourt, a 21-kilometre walk. That set the pace for the longest pilgrimage yet. On Wednesday, June 7, a visit to Riverglade found a group of nine walking from Petitcodiac to Salisbury in the Parish of Salisbury and Havelock. One pilgrim was from the Parish of Richmond, Cindy Derksen, who has joined the bishop for a day’s walk all three years. “It’s a wonderful outreach,” she said. “I enjoy supporting the bishop. I hope I can do it each year.” Millie Estabrooks, a parish member from the area, was also along for the day. “I wanted to come and support the bishop,” she said. “So I’m walking to Salisbury today.” To read the entire story and catch up on all the news, click here: http://anglican.nb.ca/wp/enews/ 7 Lay Readers: Margaret Clark Ouellette Jim McKenna Susanne Sutton Wardens: Christopher Waldschutz Derek Oland Honorary Church Warden: Bill Bambury Treasurer: Vestry Clerk: Debbie Hughes Cindy Belyea Vestry: Jim Brittain Linda Webb Terry Hutchinson John Logan Stephen Mott Ruth Ross Louise Dodge-Hall Judi Harvey-Isaac Suzanne Irving Lynda Lomax Margaret Clark Ouellette Cindy Belyea Synod Delegates: Jim McKenna Margaret Clark Ouellette Margaret McCully Alternate Synod Delegates: Louise Dodge-Hall Judi Harvey-Isaac Hospitality Committee: Louise Dodge-Hall Lynda Lomax Worship Committee: Margaret Clark Ouellette Spencer Belyea Lynn Kristofferson Ven Harold Hazen Rus Blanchet Margaret McCully Susanne Sutton Jim McKenna Altar Guild: Margie Clark Ouellette Cindy Belyea Lynn Kristofferson Ruth Steed Crucifer: Julian Webb Pastoral Care: Rus Blanchet Rev Steven Scribner 8 ANNOUNCEMENTS NOTICES: Vestry Members, please pick up your Vestry Packets from the table in the Rogues Gallery Garage Sale: Please bring in items for the Annual August Garage Sale when you do your spring cleaning.
