2018 Annual Report From the Executive Director 2018 was a year focused on a new level of outreach into the community of Canadian Anglicans. Building on strengths developed over the years, we published twice as many articles in diocesan newspapers than in previous years. We became more active on social media platforms with regular links to our work on Facebook. Additionally, we circulated a press release after the spring and fall grant cycles to create awareness and generate support. This new level of outreach has magnetized new donors, and we are profoundly grateful for their generous support. It is always a pleasure to be the bearer of good news, and there’s no doubt about it: more Canadian Anglicans are becoming aware of the Anglican Foundation of Canada as an organization that has the capacity to signifi cantly support a diverse array of ministries across our country. More Canadian Anglicans are becoming aware of AFC’s pay-it-forward way of thinking. When you receive a grant, you do so as a result of the generosity of Anglican individuals and parishes. We then invite you to make a donation to make it possible for someone else to receive a grant. When everyone gives, we all benefi t! As a non-profi t organization, we depend on the many individuals, parishes, and dioceses that support the mission of generosity that AFC has demonstrated for over sixty years. We are always striving to increase the breadth of our donor base in order to ensure that we can carry out our work for years to come. The work that we do at AFC, thanks to so many of you who have trusted us over the years and provided fi nancial support, helps to make possible the innovative spirit that you will read about in this report. I hope that you will partner with us as we continue to make a difference in faith communities to build up our Church and to strengthen our country.
