Career Outcomes Report Classes of 2011 - 2015
Career Outcomes Report Classes of 2011 - 2015 Executive Summary The Center for Career Planning conducts an annual process to determine and report the post-graduate outcomes of the most recent graduating class. The information for the report is collected from a variety of sources including online surveys, telephone surveys, the alumni database, Office of the Registrar, National Student Clearinghouse, and information from Christopher Newport faculty and staff. Students who completed their undergraduate degrees in August, December, or May were initially contacted in October/November of each year by email to complete an online survey. Telephone calls and subsequent email requests were made to these alumni between November and April. Leads from the Christopher Newport community and from social media networking sites were confirmed by employment and graduate school enrollment verification calls. This report summarizes the existing five years of data from this process. The chart below summarizes five years of outcomes data. For five consecutive years, 80% or more of CNU graduates have been employed or enrolled full-time in graduate school or continuing education programs.
