Carr already has a career-high 18 catches this season and currently leads the Big Ten with 283 receiving W, 24-13 6:30 p.m. yards, is second with six receptions per game and third with 94.3 receiving yards per game. Just want to thank them so much, and our entire staff. Thankful for the support of our university and our entire community. You've accepted Heather and I and our family with open arms, as well as our staff members. A lot of them live in the neighborhoods that you live in. Means so much, accepted us with open arms. Contract is really a result of tireless effort from so many people. It's not just about the head coach. The head coach is only as good as the people that work for them, period. I'm a perfect example of that, perfect example of having an elite staff, Gerrit Chernoff, our general manager, to Kirk Ciarrocca, our offensive coordinator, Joe Rossi, our defensive coordinator, Rob Wenger, our special teams coordinator, Marcus Hendrickson, in charge of our college scouting. I can go on and on. It's tireless work by so many people that allow you to be the best head coach you can be. I think head coaches at press conferences like this, you have salaries, extensions, things like that, but you're only as good as the people that you have. I have elite people. Most importantly on top of that is our student-athletes.

    Big Ten Media Days Kick Off With Three Buckeyes Honored It’s day one of Big Ten Media Days in Indianapolis, speakers have yet to take to the podium, and Ohio State has already seen three players honored. The Buckeyes had three players featured in the annual Big Ten Preseason Honors list, all on the offensive side of the ball, making up more than half of the five players selected from the East division. Fifth-year senior left Tackle Thayer Munford, senior wide receiver Chris Olave and junior wide receiver Garrett Wilson represent the Buckeyes on the list, joined by Indiana quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and Penn State wide receiver Jahan Dotson, both of whom put up big performances against the Buckeye defense in 2020. In the West division, Iowa center Tyler Linderbaum, Minnesota running back Mohamed Ibrahim, Northwestern safety Brandon Joseph, Purdue receiver David Bell and Wisconsin linebacker Jack Sanborn earned the nod. Just one of Ohio State’s picks, Munford, will be in attendance and available to speak at media days after Olave was shuffled out for tight end Jeremy Ruckert last week.
