CONVENTION SERVICES POLICIES & PROCEDURES

CHECK-IN / CHECK OUT Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and checkout is 11:00 a.m. If rooms are requested prior to check-in time, they will be accommodated based on availability. Luggage can be stored on a complimentary basis for guests who have checked out but are not yet departing the . GROUP CHECK-IN Satellite check-in options are available based on group size and specific requirements. In the event of a group arrival, a mandatory bellman gratuity applies. There is an $8.00 per person charge for round trip luggage handling, subject to change. Your Convention Services Manager will assist in coordinating check-in and baggage. ADDITIONAL GUEST CHARGES A charge of $35.00 will be added for each guest over double occupancy with a maximum of four (4) guests per room. MGM GRAND CONVENTION SERVICES The Convention Services Department will be in contact with Meeting Group following receipt of the signed agreement. The Convention Services Manager becomes the main contact for all details involving function arrangements, reservation, and billing procedures, as well as providing recommendations for outside services if necessary.

Unless already provided, Hotel requires a tentative schedule of function room requirements to the Convention Services Manager at least 90 days in advance of the meeting. Any additional requests for function rooms will be on a space available basis. A firm detailed schedule must be furnished to the Convention Services Manager no later than 30 days before the program. MGM GRAND CATERING POLICIES AND GENERAL INFORMATION Guarantees: Guaranteed number of attendees for all functions must be received by the Catering Office no later than 11:00 a.m. PST, three (3) business days (excluding Saturday, Sunday, and National holidays) prior to the commencement of your functions. You (“Group”) will be charged the guaranteed number, or the number of people actually served, whichever is greater. For groups with assigned seating, Group’s diagram must be submitted with Group’s guarantee. In addition, we (‘MGM Grand”) will not set up more than 3% above Group’s guaranteed number, not to exceed 50 people. If no guarantee is received, the number of guests indicated on the function sheet would be the guaranteed attendance. MGM Grand reserves the right to charge room rental, service charges and/ or relocate your Group to a smaller room if there is a reduction in the guaranteed numbers.

Tax and Service Charge: Food and beverage prices are subject to a service charge and sales tax at the prevailing rate. Current service charge and sales tax is 22% and 8.1%, respectively. Tax exempt organizations must furnish a Certificate of Exemption to the Catering Office at least two (2) weeks prior to the event.

Food and Beverage: To insure compliance with Clark County Health Department food handling regulations, food will be consumed on the hotel premises at the contracted time.

MGM Grand is the only authorized party able to sell and serve liquor, beer, and wine on premises. Food and beverage pricing is subject to change without notice. Pricing may be guaranteed up to six (6) months if requested and confirmed in writing.

Cooking Demos and Food Product Displays: Please note the following information could be changed by the Clark County Fire Department (CCFD) without prior notice. All information is subject to prior approval by the MGM Grand Conference Center and CCFD. For further clarification, please contact MGM Grand. Exhibitors are responsible for complying with all Southern Health Department regulations. The following are the regulation numbers that pertain to exhibition cooking: 96.01.0045, 96.01.0039, 96.02.0000, 96.09.0000, 96.09.0100 and 96.09.0200.

Food Samples: For shows (open to the public), Show Management is responsible to obtain an Event Coordinator Permit. Private shows (not open to the public) are not obligated to obtain permits, but must still comply with applicable Southern Nevada Health District regulations, which include, but are not limited to: • Handwashing must be available with 110 degree F water. • Exhibitors handling food must wash their hands for 20 seconds upon entering their work station. • Sanitizer must be provided at each booth, and the exhibitor should have knowledge of what sanitizer they are using. Suggested sanitizer is Quat or Chlorine. Test strips should be available to check the levels of the sanitizer. • All foods must be maintained at proper temperatures: 41 degrees F or colder or 135 degrees F or hotter. Stem thermometers must be available to monitor food temperature. • Suitable utensils or individual portions must be provided. • Single-service gloves or suitable utensils must be provided for handling of all ready to eat food. • No smoking or eating is permitted in any booth preparing or serving food. All beverages must have a lid. • A fire extinguisher must be provided in any area using canned heat, gas, or fire. • Adequate extension cords must be available and stored to prevent electrical shock or a tripping hazard. • MGM Grand Conference Center guidelines for the service of prepared food are as follows: • Samples are limited to manufactured, processed or distributed products only. • Food samples are limited to one (1) ounce. • Beverage samples are limited to two (2) ounces.

Outside/Poolside Events: Due to the architectural nature of the pool area, additional lighting charges and labor fees will be assessed for outdoor and poolside events. There is a nominal rental fee for all pool events to cover the costs of labor and lighting. The MGM Grand reserves the right to make the final decision to use indoor facilities in case of inclement weather on the day of the event. Disposable products will be used. Glassware and are not permitted for outdoor events.

Miscellaneous: • Any function with an admission charge or fee, or which has merchandise for sale, must be approved and licensed by the Clark County Business License Department. A copy of the Certificate must be presented to the Catering Office at least three (3) business days prior to the event. Please call 702.455.4252 for more information. • When alcoholic beverages are served, MGM Grand reserves the right to require that all guests must be 21 years of age. The MGM Grand reserves the right to refuse the sale of alcoholic beverages at all times to anyone. The MGM Grand is the only licensed authority to sell and serve liquor for consumption on the premises. Bringing liquor into the hotel is strictly prohibited. • Split Entrées: Selection of the entrées needs to be given to the Catering Office at least seven (7) business days prior to the event. A selection of two (2) entrées will be surcharged $20.00 per person and applies to the highest priced entrée selection. It is the responsibility of the client to identify the guest’s choice of entrées by issuing tickets, special seating, or badges for the MGM Grand Banquet Department. • Service Times: Lunch menus are available between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. All events outside this time will be subject to the dinner or breakfast menu selections and prices. • Coat Rooms/Gift/Ticket Distribution Rooms are subject to availability and will be assessed a $30.00 per hour rental/labor fee for attendants. There is a minimum of four hours required. • MGM Grand offers complimentary linen in black, ivory, and boysenberry. If you prefer specialty linens, they are available at an additional cost. To ensure receipt of specialty linens, your Catering Manager must receive all requests at least three weeks prior to the date required.

Security: Should Group desire to provide security for your event, or if it is the type of event for which MGM Grand will require Group to provide security, the security provided must be from a company that is acceptable to MGM Grand. At Group’s request, MGM Grand will provide a list of security companies acceptable to MGM Grand.

Each package must be labeled with the name of the registered guest who is responsible for the handling charges.

Smoking Policy: The MGM Grand Conference Center is a nonsmoking facility. Designated smoking areas are located at the south and north entrances to the Conference Center. MGM GRAND ROOM DELIVERIES (non-room service) Items are placed inside the sleeping rooms after a guest has checked in. Items will not be delivered prior to arrival. All deliveries will be charged $2.50 per item per person. Any items requiring a transfer from a location other than the Bell Desk will incur an additional $1.00 fee per item. SIGNATURE ROOM DELIVERIES (non-room service) Items are placed inside the sleeping rooms after a guest has checked in. Items will not be delivered prior to arrival. All deliveries will be charged $3.00 per item per person. Any items requiring a transfer from a location other than the Bell Desk will incur an additional $1.00 fee per item. PRINTED MATERIALS We request that your sales contact and Convention Services Manager be added to your mailing list to receive all materials concerning the Hotel. In this way, we can share with our staff all printed materials in the possession of your prospective attendees. Any advertising utilizing the MGM Grand name and/or logo must be approved prior to distribution, in writing, by MGM Grand Hotel. MEETING GROUP ENTERTAINMENT Meeting Group acknowledges that MGM Grand has a reputation for offering high-quality entertainment and services to the public, is a publicly-held company, is subject to regulation and licensing, and desires to maintain its reputation and receive positive publicity concerning Meeting Group’s functions. Consequently, prior to contracting with any entertainer or production company to provide entertainment at its function(s), Meeting Group shall obtain MGM Grand’s written consent for the entertainment, which consent shall not unreasonably be withheld. In contracting for entertainment, Meeting Group agrees that any such entertainment will comply with MGM Grand’s normal policy regarding risqué or questionable material and that no disparaging remarks toward gaming, MGM Grand, its directors, officers, or employees or those of any affiliate of MGM Grand shall be made. MGM RESORTS EVENTS MGM Resorts Events is a full-service event production company that employs an award- winning team of planners, designers, and artisans. Whether planning an informal gathering or an opulent celebration, their talented group of professionals will assist you in everything

Engage MGM Resorts Events to produce your next occasion. They will bring all the pieces together to ensure that every aspect of the experience is brilliant, memorable, and unique. STAFFING Hotel will, as applicable, provide additional staffing, at Meeting Group’s expense, including but not limited to: public area security, ushers, ticket sellers and takers, production staff, stage hands, technical personnel, electrical personnel (including contracted services through MGM Grand Production at Meeting Group’s expense), cleaning personnel, and first aid services for Meeting Group’s function or event (“Function”). Such expenses will be reimbursed to Hotel by Meeting Group at the prevailing rates in existence at the time of Meeting Group’s Function. Meeting Group shall obtain Hotel’s written approval prior to Meeting Group employing musicians; front of house staff; back-of-house staff, including stagehands; security; and all other personnel not provided by Hotel. At least thirty (30) calendar days prior to Meeting Group’s Function, Hotel and Meeting Group’s designated representatives shall discuss, at a minimum, the appropriate staffing levels, production, and audiovisual requirements for Meeting Group’s Function. Hotel retains the sole right to determine the appropriate number of staff and security for Meeting Group’s Function. PRODUCTION SERVICES Hotel’s AV Department is the exclusive provider of power, rigging labor, trusses, and motors. Meeting Group is required to use Hotel’s AV Department for all Breakouts or utilize the Client Assurance Package. Please contact the Hotel’s AV Department for package details. Any equipment or labor Meeting Group proposes to utilize at Hotel must be approved in advance by Hotel’s AV department. NETWORK AND INTERNET CONNECTIONS Meeting Group may not attach any hardware or software to any networking and Internet access services provided by Hotel, or allow its attendees to do so, other than hardware and software approved by Hotel or end-user equipment (such as laptops and mobile phones, but not routers or networking equipment) owned by attendees that agree to any applicable terms of use required to access the services. If the Meeting Group is permitted by Hotel to attach a router or other wireless networking equipment to Hotel’s network, it shall not use a network identifier (i.e., a Service Set Identifier or SSID) that contains the Hotel’s name without approval from Hotel, or other name to which Hotel reasonably objects. Hotel may require Meeting Group or its attendees to remove any hardware or software from Hotel’s network, or otherwise prevent hardware or software from connecting to Hotel’s network without notice and without refund. EXHIBITS Hotel will provide up to ten table-top displays (6 or 8 foot tables) including standard linen and table skirting, one chair and one wastebasket at no charge during Meeting Group’s program. A charge of $150.00 per display will be charged for 11 – 25 displays. Tabletop displays in excess of these numbers must be furnished by an outside decorator/exhibit company. EDLEN ELECTRICAL MGM Grand has an exclusive agreement with Edlen Electrical to provide all temporary electrical and plumbing services for exhibit halls, ballrooms, and meeting rooms. The General Services Contractor should contact United directly at: Contact: Erica Navarro, Branch Manager [email protected] Phone: 702.322.5328 Fax: 702.322.5311 FIRE MARSHAL REGULATIONS • Clark County Fire Department requires that a floor plan must be submitted for approval by the Fire Inspector for every function of 300 or more people and for all Exhibit/Trade Shows. • Floor plans must be submitted to the Clark County Fire Department at least 30 calendar days prior to the start of the function. • The MGM Grand is assessed fees by Clark County Fire Department based on square footage utilized for Exhibits and Places of Assembly:

Examples of Tier 1 venues: All individual rooms, most combinations of rooms without hallways, Studio Ballroom, Vista Ballroom. Examples of Tier 2 venues: 115 – 117 + Hallway, 309 – 314 + Hallway, 312 – 317, Grand and Premier Ballrooms, Pool Complex. Examples of Tier 3 venues: Marquee Ballroom, Grand Garden Arena.

• The cost of the fire permits will be billed to the group’s master account, pending approval. • Props and décor must be included on submitted floor plans. • The MGM Grand will submit all floor plans for functions being set up and produced by the MGM Grand to the Fire Department. • Any floor plans submitted by an outside production or decorating company must be reviewed and authorized by the MGM Grand Convention Services Manager prior to submitting. • Production or decorating companies must send a copy of the Fire Inspector-approved plan to your Convention Services Manager prior to actual move in. Set up will be delayed if we have not received the plans. • If the event takes place outside of regular Inspection hours (7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday) or during a federal or state holiday, an Inspection charge of $80.00/hr will be billed to the group’s master account.

Page 6 of 8 MGM Grand will not be held responsible for functions that do not adhere to these policies. SIGNAGE AND DISPLAY ADVERTISING The MGM Grand has electronic reader boards on all floors of the Conference Center and directly above each meeting room. In an effort to support the integrity of the Conference Center and public areas, we recommend the use of MGM Grand Ushers for directional signage. Please contact your Convention Services Manager for details.

Hotel retains exclusive rights to all display advertising within the function space and all other space on the Hotel property. Meeting Group may not advertise within the function space, nor represent to any third party that it may advertise within the function space or on Hotel property, and may not place any signage or banners in the function space or on Hotel property without prior written consent of Hotel. In the event Hotel grants its consent for Meeting Group to advertise within the function space or on Hotel property, it shall be a nonexclusive right to advertise. Any signage or banners approved by Hotel may only be hung or posted by the Hotel Audiovisual department. It is the policy of Hotel that all signage approved by Hotel must be 28” high x 22” wide and must be professionally printed. No flyers, advertising materials, or free samples shall be produced, placed, or distributed, without the prior written approval of, and under the conditions established by Hotel. Meeting Group, its agents, contractors, and employees, may not affix signage to any wall located on the Hotel property. BROADCAST, TAPE, OR RECORD Meeting Group may not broadcast (either live or on a delayed basis), tape, or record on MGM Grand property without receiving written permission from Hotel. Please contact your Convention Services Manager for details. TRADEMARK Neither party is authorized to use any trademark, trade name, or service mark owned or registered by the other party, its parent, subsidiaries or affiliates. Neither party may, without prior written approval of the other party, copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any trade name, trademark, copyrighted material, or service mark of the other party, its parent, subsidiaries, or affiliates. ACCESS AND RIGHT TO ENTER Representatives of Hotel may enter upon and have access to the Function Space at any time. Additionally, officers and authorized employees of governmental agencies may enter the Function Space at reasonable times, when necessary, in the performance of their official duties. LOST OR STOLEN PROPERTY Hotel shall not be responsible for losses by Meeting Group, its agents, directors, shareholders, employees, members, attendees, contractors, volunteers, performers, or any other party due to theft, damage to, or disappearance of equipment or other personal property, it being specifically acknowledged that such equipment and property is not under the care, custody, or control of Hotel. DAMAGE TO PROPERTY Meeting Group shall be liable for any damage, normal wear and tear excluded, to the Function Space, or to any other real or personal property of Hotel, caused by the act or omission of Meeting Group, its agents, directors, shareholders, employees, members, attendees,

Page 7 of 8 contractors, volunteers, or performers. Meeting Group will not, and shall not permit others to, drive nails, tacks, hooks, screws, or other items into any part of the Function Space, Hotel equipment, or property. Meeting Group shall return the Function Space to Hotel in as good of condition and repair as the same shall have been found when licensed for Meeting Group’s use. RETAIL SALES TAX The Nevada Administration Code (NAC) 372.180 states that the promoter or organizer of an event allowing any retail sales on the show floor has the responsibility to collect and remit the taxes for their respective event. This means you are responsible for these taxes.

If Meeting Group is tax exempt, the State of Nevada requires a copy of the following on file with the MGM Grand Conference Center:

o NEVADA tax-exempt sales tax permit providing the evidence of non-taxability.

o U.S. Government Tax-exempt sales tax permit.
