Later, it was attached with newly created Faisalabad Division further; its Tehsil Chiniot has been notified as District & District Jhang now, consist of four Tehsils i.e. Jhang 18 Hazari Shorkot Ahmed Pur Sial B) IMPORTANT PLACES Jhang is a land of shrines and mausoleums out of which. Our volunteers are conducting rescue and relief operations in various areas of District Jhang. Teams of SDO are ready to deal with deteriorating situation. SDO carried out a food distribution and relief operation in Jhang, which was almost completely submerged in water due to incessant flood. The rivers Chenab and Jhelum have also been gaining strength and there is a probability of a flood in adjacent areas. Cooked food and other essential items are being provided to affectees. JHANG FLOOD 2014 SITUATIONAL REPORT Social Development Organization SDO ® Future Intervention Plans A bigger scale of response will be needed to support flood affected families. However, SDO ® initial Caseloads to support 800 families in District Jhang. 1. Provision of NFIs. Distribution of NFIs will be done, as per the above caseload. 2. Provision of Food Assistance. Distribution of food will be done, as per the above caseload. 3. Medical and Health Care. 1 x mobile health teams will be deployed with medicines for one month IDENTIFIED FUTURE NEEDS Following are the immediate needs of the affected communities: 1. Emergency Shelter (Tents and Tarpaulin Sheets) 2. Non Food Items (Kitchen Set, Hygiene Kit, Blankets, Clothes etc) 3. Food Package (1 month Package) 4. Medicines for flood victims.
