and distributed electronically. To locate the fares for a particular route, it is suggested that you use the ‘Find’ (ctrl+F) or ‘Search’ (ctrl+shift+F) functions in Acrobat Reader to locate it. CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION 10 2019 Regional Bus Fares Supplement Introduction This volume contains fares and ticket information for buses in regional Victoria. It does not include metropolitan fares or V/Line fares which are included in the Victorian Fares and Ticketing Manual. Conditions of travel on regional bus services, including concessions and free travel arrangements, are also detailed in the Victorian Fares and Ticketing Manual. Concessions and free travel arrangements are standardised across all operators, including regional bus operators. The contents of this volume set out the ticket conditions and fares that have been determined or approved by Public Transport Victoria for the regional bus services listed in this volume. It includes self-funded services that do not receive a government subsidy but have fares that are approved by Public Transport Victoria. This volume takes effect from, and including, 1 January 2019. Public transport operators must make a copy of this manual available for inspection at their principal office. This document can be downloaded from ptv.vic.gov.au This document is regularly updated to reflect changes to fares and services. Always make sure the most recent version is being used. The document should be read in conjunction with any updates that have been issued. Chapter 1 – Introduction CHAPTER 2: TICKET CONDITIONS 12 2019 Regional Bus Fares Supplement Ticket conditions Ticket conditions in regional Victoria are being progressively aligned. Where a ticket type is mentioned in this document, the following rules apply unless an exception is stated. Tickets are only valid on the services of the operator who issued the ticket. Not all ticket types are available on all services. Single A single ticket allows travel between an origin and a destination for which a fare has been paid. 2 hour A 2 hour ticket allows unlimited travel on bus services for at least two hours. Tickets purchased after 6pm are valid until 3am. A passenger may transfer to any local bus or train service before their ticket expires, even if the journey extends beyond the ticket’s expiry time. Return A return ticket allows for a return trip between an origin and a destination for which a fare which has been paid. Daily A daily ticket allows unlimited travel on nominated bus services on the day of issue until 3am the next day. Weekly Weekly tickets allow unlimited travel between the origin and destination printed on the ticket for seven consecutive days. The ticket expires seven days from the start date printed on the ticket. For example, a ticket valid from Tuesday will expire at the end of services for
