Shah Kamal Historical Evolution of Assistant Relationship Manager Management Accounting Bank Alfalah [email protected] Abstract The obsolescence of most companies' cost accounting and management control systems is particularly unfortunate for the global competition of the 1980s (Johnson & Kaplan, 1987). During the past two decades, conventional cost and management accounting practices have been under extensive criticism for their malfunction to instigate change and their inability to support management accounting innovations in coping with the requirements of a changing environment. The academic literature has been crucial of conventional management accounting systems particularly for their lack of efficiency and capability to present comprehensive and the latest information and to assure decision makers and potential users of such information. Focusing on this debate, current study reviews the evolution of cost and management accounting innovations over the past century around the world and to examine whether there has been a significant impact of management accounting in the organization. The analyses suggest that management accounting is changing. However, these changes do not have much bearing upon the type of management accounting techniques. -

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) on Customer Satisfaction and its impact on Customer Loyalty of Islamic Bank in Aceh’s Province. The study population is all customers in in the Islamic Bank. This study uses convinience random sampling with a sample size of 250 respondents. The analytical method used is structural equation modeling (SEM). The results showed that the Customer Relationship Management significantly influences both on satisfaction and its customer loyalty. Furthermore, satisfaction also affects its customer loyalty. Customer satisfaction plays a role as partially mediator between the influences of Customer Relationship Management on its Customer Loyalty. Everyone probably has done this, but today I am objecting to killing bugs. “Why?” you may ask. Imagine all the bugs in the world disappeared. There would be no more adventure. No chirping birds. No buzzing bees. It would be sad, boring, and silent outside. There are so many species of bugs in the world. Each one is unique in its skills. The more we learn about bugs the more we learn about our earth. Just like humans and other animals, bugs deserve a life too. I believe you should never kill bugs. I believe that you should not kill insects when they are outside. Bugs belong outside. They have families or colonies in which they are a vital part. They pollinate crops that we need for food and pollinate beautiful flowers that we enjoy viewing. They also act as sanitation workers cleaning up our wastes. Despite their sometimes-creepy appearance, they are important to our environment. If you feel that you are in danger of being bitten or stung by an insect, walk or run away instead of killing it. Sometimes, people feel unsafe near bugs, so they decide to kill them immediately. -

Johnson Lecture • Short Talks • Demonstrations • Field Experiments • Passport for Kids Pesticide Credits • Century Farm Award • Barn Exhibits Lockwood Farm, Hamden Wednesday, August 3, 2005 XYXYXYXYXYXY History of Lockwood Farm, Hamden Lockwood Farm is a research farm of the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station. Historically, the farm was purchased in 1910 with monies provided by the Lockwood Trust Fund, a private endowment. The original farm was 19.6 acres with a barn and a house. Since then, several adjacent tracts of land were purchased, enlarging the acres to 75.0. The farm is located in the extreme southern portion of the Central Lowland Physiographic Province. This lowland region is underlain by red stratified sandstone and shale of Triassic age from which resistant lava flows project as sharp ridges. One prominent ridge, observed from the farm, is Sleeping Giant Mountain that lies to the north. The mountain is composed of basalt, a dense igneous rock commonly used as a building material and ballast for railroad tracks. The topography of the farm is gently rolling to hilly and was sculpted by the Wisconsin glacier that overrode the area some 10,000 years ago and came to rest in the vicinity of Long Island. A prominent feature of the farm is a large basaltic boulder that was plucked from Sleeping Giant by the advancing glacier and came to rest on the crest of a hillock to the south of the upper barns. From this hillock, Sleeping Giant State Park comes into full view and is a favorite spot for photographers and artists.
