Suomen Keilailuliiton toimintakertomus kilpailukaudelta 2013-2014 76. toimintakausi 1 Toimintakertomus 2013-2014 Puheenjohtajan arvioita kaudesta 2013 – 2014 Kauden ehdoton kohokohta oli miesten joukkuekulta MM-kisoista. Yhdysvalloissa syksyllä 2013 pelatuissa kisoissa Suomen joukkue – Joonas Jehkinen, Perttu Jussi- la, Osku Palermaa, Tony Ranta, Petteri Salonen ja Pasi Uotila – otti hienon taistelu- voiton nousten jo lähes mahdottomasta tilanteesta upeaan voittoon. Kauden toinen kilpailullinen huipennus oli Suomen tuplapotti Euroopan mesta- reiden cupista. Suomen edustajat Sanna Pasanen ja Kimmo Lehtonen pitivät huolen siitä, että voitto tuli kotiin sekä naisissa että miehissä. Kauden komeaan mitalitiliin voi liittää vielä paljon muutakin, muun muassa miesten MM-kisojen parihopean ja paripronssin, Osku Palermaan World Games- kullan, naisten EM-kisojen paripronssin sekä junioreiden EM-kisojen kuusi mita- lia, joista kirkkaimpina poikien joukkue- ja parikullat. Pettymyksen puolelle voi laskea ainakin miesten MM-kisojen henkilökohtaisen menestyksen. Sitä ei tullut, vaikka joukkuekisat sujuivat mallikkaasti. Samaa voi sanoa naisten henkilökohtaisesta menestyksestä MM- ja EM-kisoissa, vaikka odo- tukset eivät ehkä olleet yhtä suuret kuin miesten puolella. Myös Suomen seniorit kilpailivat kauden aikana ansiokkaasti. Suomessa juhan- nuksen 2014 tienoilla järjestetyissä senioreiden EM-kisoissa Suomi oli ylivoimai- nen maa ottaen yhdeksän kultamitalia ja tukun muita hyviä sijoituksia. Senioreiden MM-kisoista Riitta Nikupeteri nappasi singlepronssin. -
