Također, u suradnji s Dallas Records za sve posjetitelje bit će organizirana i nagradna igra u kojoj ćemo podjeliti čak 3 CD-a „Grinderman 2“! upad: 0 KN UTORAK 05.10. • V 20:00 P 21:00 MULTIMEDIJALNI INSTITUT I URK predstavljaju… CLUSTER (Njemačka) www.myspace.com/theonlyclusterthatmatters Cluster je njemački eksperimentalni bend nastao davne 1971. godine, koji je zaslužan za pionirske pothvate stvaranja elektronske i ambijentalne glazbe. U svojoj dugogodišnjoj karijeri snimili su 13 albuma, gdje su se zabavljali sa svim glazbenim pravcima – od eksperimentalne glazbe preko prog-rocka, ali uvijek sa svojstvenim i prepoznatljivim avangardnim štihom. Glazbenik i pisac Julian Cope (Teardrop Explodes) je uvrstio čak tri albuma Clustera u 50 najboljih albuma krautrocka, dok je ugledni časopis Wire njihov istoimeni album prvijenac stavio na popis „sto ploča koje su zapalile svijet“. Glazbeni stil Clustera značajno je varirao tijekom godina, uvijek trudeći otkrivati nove zvukove i stilove te bez straha kročiti u nepoznato. Na samim počecima Cluster su bili fascinirani eksperimentalnom glazbom i kosmische musik; albumom „Zuckerzeit“ prelaze polagano na prog-rock, ritmični krautrock i industrial, da bi u drugoj polovici 70ih s Brian Enom snimili jedne od ponajboljih albuma ambijentalne glazbe („Cluster & Eno“ iz 1977. i „After the Heat“ iz 1978.). Cluster su izvršili ogromni utjecaj ne samo na elektronsku i ambijentalnu glazbu, već uvelike i na techno i moderni pop, tako da ne čudi da ih kao inspiraciju često navode David Bowie, Ultravox, Orb, pa i mnogi recentniji bendovi poput Mouse on Mars, To Rococo Rot ili Oval. Koliko su neobična i jedinstvena pojava na glazbenom prostoru govore i godine njihova rođenja – Hans-Joachim Roedelius (1934.) i Dieter Moebius (1944.) - koje im niti malo ne predstavljaju problem da i dalje idu na turneje te zaitrigiraju maštu publike diljem svijeta, pa tako i u klubu Močvara. Killing Joke su definitivno jedan od najutjecajnijih, najzanimljivijih i najkontroverznijih bendova današnjice, bend koji je prevalio put od punka, preko post punka, dark rocka, noise rocka, industriala, electra do metala, a uvijek uspio zadržati svoj prepoznatljiv stil. Utjecali su na cijelokupnu modernu i glazbenu scenu, čemu je dokaz da ih navode kao uzori mnogi veliki bendovi poput Metallice, Ministry, Soundgarden, Amebix, Front Line Assembly, Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Melvins, Faith No More, KMFDM, Godflesh, Napalm Death, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Primus, Jello Biafra, Prong, Big Black, Ikon,... Killing Joke je obradila i Metallica – pjesmu „The Wait“ s njihovog prvog albuma „Killing Joke“ iz 1980. koji i danas drži pozicije jednog od najkvalitetnijih uradaka alternativne glazbe svih vremena, a sam James Hetfield je izabrao Jaz Colemana za jednog od svojih „top favourite singers“ u Rolling Stone magazinu. Nirvana se našla na sudu zbog plagijata pjesme „Come As You Are“ čiji je rif uzet iz Killing Joke pjesme „Eighties“ s najprodavanijeg i jednog od top gothic albuma svih vremena „Night Time“ iz 1985. na kojem se nalazi i njihova najpoznatija pjesma „Love Like Blood“ po kojoj se nazvao i njemački gothic rock bend. Na albumu „Extrimities“ iz 1990. s kojim Killing Joke uplovljavaju u noise rock vode je bubanj odsvirao Martin Atkins, član legendarnih Public Image, benda John Lydona iz Sex Pistolsa, Ministry i Pigface. 1994. Killing Joke s albumom „Pandemonium“ uvode snažne metal rifove u kombinaciji s electro industrial zvukom i ponovno stvaraju novi glazbeni stil. Originalni basist Martin "Youth" Glover postaje poznati producent nove electro, tecno i industrial glazbe i radi remixeve za Killing Joke, Marilyn Mansona, The Cult, The Verve, Vanesa Mae, U2,... Dave Grohl iz Nirvane i Foo Figtersa je odsvirao bubanj na „Killing Joke“ albumu iz 2003. i izjavio kako mu je to bila osobita čast. Karizmatični vođa i pjevač Jaz Coleman je pored djelovanja u Killing Joke i dirigent simfonijskog orkestra te često surađuje s Kairskim simfonijskim orkestrom. Jaz je duboko uplovio u vode magike štujući djelo glasovitog maga Aleistera Crowleya te se povodom toga druži i s Jimmy Pageom iz Led Zeppelina. Svoje spoznaje prenosi i u radu Killing Jokea što je kulminiralo na albumu „The Courtauld Talks“ iz 1989. koji je u biti spoken word album sa glazbenom podlogom. Na žalost nedavno preminuli basist Paul Raven je svirao i u Prongu, Ministry, Godflesh. Pored Metallice Killing Joke je obradio čitav niz bendova od Fear Factory, Foo Fighters, Helmet, Love Like Blood, Amen, Behemoth do LCD Soundsystem i Nouvelle Vague. Do kraja ove godine bi trebao izaći i tribute album „Absolute Respect“ na kojem će se nalaziti obrade Killing Joke, pa tako i Nine Inch Nailsa, Foo Fightersa, Metallice, Nouvelle Vague... Koncerti Killing Joke su poput rituala gdje Jaz radi magijski obred sa snažnom glazbenom pozadinom. Killing Joke promoviraju svoj novi, četrnaesti studijski uradak „Absolute Dissent“ koji je nakon 28 godina snimljen ponovo u originalnoj postavi.     Chris Connelly : INITIALS C.C. Out-takes, Rarities and Personal Favourites 1982-2002 vol.1 01. Detestimony – Fini Tribe: This was the “A” side of an EP called “Let the Tribe Grow,” written and recorded when the Fini Tribe was going through great musical changes. We had acquired an Ensoniq ‘Mirage’ sampling keyboard, and as was the same for a lot of bands at the time, it changed everything, opened up a lot of doors, and led us into some very uncharted waters. The actual piece was whittled down from a fifteen-minute opus we had written. I remember being in Philip Pinsky’s bedroom one night with John Vick. Philip’s then-roommate, Lindsay, gave us an old quarter-inch reel of tape he had. On it was a beautiful recording of the church bells you hear on the song; we sampled them and came up with the melody. The EP actually did better than any of us had anticipated and became a sort of hit in the Ibiza clubs at the very advent of the acid house/rave phenomenon. We actually went ahead and re-wrote/re- structured the song for the WaxTrax! Records release (“Make it Internal/Detestimony Revisited”) a couple of years later. 02. Mania – Murder Inc.: Certainly what I feel is the most compelling song on the one and only album released by Murder Inc. The band was basically Killing Joke, minus Jaz Coleman (Killing Joke’s singer), plus me, as well as the original drummer, Paul Fergusson, and newer drummer, Martin Atkins. The sessions took place at Pachyderm Studios in rural Minnesota during September of 1991.

Tours roll across the coun- try like mobile homes in a Florida hurricane. The most memo- rable for this magazine/bar owner were the Warped Tour and Wakestock, where such bands as Bad Religion, Billy Talent, Alexisonfire, Closet Monster, The Trews and Crowned King had audiences in mosh-pit frenzies. At Wakestock, in Wasaga Beach, Ont., Gasoline, Fox Racing, and Bluenotes rocked so hard at their two-day private cottage party that local authorities shut down the stage after Magneta Lane and Flashlight Brown. Poor Moneen didn't get to crush the eardrums of the drunken revellers. That was day one! Day two was an even bigger party with the live music again shut down. The Reason, Moneen and Crowned King owned the patio until Alexisonfire and their crew rolled into party. Gasoline would also like to thank Chuck (see cover story) and other UN officials for making sure that the boys in Sum41 made it back to the Bovine for another cocktail, despite the nearby mortar and gunfire during their Warchild excursion.
