These companies are profit seeking and dividend income from JC Group will be applied in community projects. Sundry donations are also received by the trust and these funds will be either donated or used in community projects. Skills within the JC Group include healthcare, job creation, education, development of land and managerial skills. 2. Section B Jedidiah Trust’s major achievements over the past year 2.1 The Jedidiah Trust’s planned objectives set at the beginning of the past year: a) To manage its equity investments and to grow the wealth base of the group. b) To raise some donations and to support selected projects. c) To offer free educational lectures. 2.2 Summary of objectives achieved or partly achieved: a) Equity Investments: Various projects & companies as full subsidiaries seek to develop both the benefits to our beneficiaries and to have sustainable wealth creation. b) Donations: Donations were raised and applied as per the Annual Financial Statements. c) Education: One by one training took place and was mainly performed by EJ Visser. This is still an ongoing project. Seminars were held for Segametsi Hope (SA) Group teaching unemployed persons to possibly become businessmen, performed by Erni Visser, Vaughan Coetzee and Danie van Rensburg (contracted consultant). 2.3 How the objectives listed in 2.2 were achieved: See description in 2.2. 3 NON-PROFIT ORGANISATION ANNUAL REPORT - 2014 2.4 Summary of the beneficiaries benefits due to Jedidiah Trust during the past year (applicable to year 2013 - 2014): JUDEA HARVEST (100% Black) R350,000 Jedidiah Trust raised money to support existing Judea Day Care Centres, in impoverished areas in Kwamashu, Cape Flats, Mamelodi and Diepsloot, by supplying one meal a day per child for a period of twelve months. A total of 400 young desperate children received food for the year. We trust that this partnering with Judea Day Care Centres will be extended for another twelve months and hopefully grow with time. See http://www.judeahope.org SEGAMETSI HOPE (GAUTENG) (100% Black) R480,000 Training course during the year was presented at NBCC in Boksburg to 180 students. The course material presented was (i) “How to grow your business exponentially” – this was presented to 100 students and (ii) “Improve your existing Business with Strategic Planning and a Business Plan” – this was presented to 80 students already in business. DESIGNATED FUNDS (as per instruction) R290,201 Jedidiah Trust received designated funds and distributed them as per instructions from the donor to the social beneficiary that they identified. 3. Section A The Organisation’s income and basic accounting details 1.1 Jedidiah Trust’s Auditor’s name: Salomien Snyman of Griesel Nel Incorporated 1.2 Accounting Officer’s address (an outside individual / accounting company / auditor): Griesel Nel Incorporated PO Box 7158, Centurion, Pretoria, 0046 1.3 Jedidiah Trust’s accounting policies (i.e. are your accounts done monthly) Due to the low activity during the past year, only annual accounts were drawn up. Cash flow and funds were managed on a monthly basis. 1.4 Accounting Officer’s report and annual statement of accounts approval by Jedidiah Trust’s Office Bearers Annual Financial Statements were approved by the Trustees. 1.5 Percentage of total annual expenditure spent on administration costs (i.e. salaries, rental, travel etc.): Nil, all expenses were paid by the JC Group subsidiaries. 1.6 Sources of income: Donations and loan accounts with JC Group Companies 1.7 Percentage of the annual income coming from project submissions or proposal grants to corporates, foundations / trusts or foreign donors Corporate grants: 100% Foundations / trusts: 0% Foreign (Non SA) donors: 0% SA donors: 100% 1.8 Income raise during the past year was due to: All the income this year was from donors. 2.
