YOUNG HERITAGE MOTOR CLUB Inc. Minutes of the monthly meeting held on the 12th August 2015.

Members Present: There were Twenty seven members present as per attendance book.

Apologies: Twelve members tendered their apologies & one visitor was welcomed.

Previous Minutes: Moved A.Barrett that the minutes of the previous meeting held on 8th July 2015 are a true and correct record , Sec. L.McDonnell, CRD.

Treasurer: Reconciliation for the month of July 2015 showed expenditure of $143:41 being for membership & badges. Reminder that membership fees are due & payable by the 30th September. Office Bearers Reports: Editor would like to hear from members who would like to receive the club magazine by Email. A number of members have indicated this method & we the club benefit by reducing our cost & the postage goes up to $1:00 next month per magazine.

General Business: 1. Welcome to our newest members Paul & Karen Dyer.

2. Model "A" pre 1931, rally being held at Young from 4th to 7th September. If any member is able to assist in any small way please contact Col Harmer ph.6382 2978 or Barry Rose ph. 63821191. Thank you to these two members for their organising efforts.

3. Membership Fees are now payable and due by 30th September 2015.

4. Damper day reminder at John & Nola Drum's property on Sunday 18th October 2015 & some members have indicated that they will be staying overnight on 17th.

5. Please place in your diaries the "H" plated club cars annual inspection day is Sunday 25th October2015.

From the Editors: Well not a lot happening over the last few weeks except for the rain and mud. We are looking for members to contribute stories for the magazine, so if you have any photos or a good story to tell then let me know. This month’s issue is coming out a bit earlier than usual as I will be busy next week plus the cost of postage is going up from 1 September…so want to use the surplus stamps I have plus saves a few Bob. If anyone would like to receive their issue via email please let me know as it saves Karen and I a lot of time and effort. Also if anyone has advertisements or stories to tell can you please have the material to me within two weeks of the next meeting as this will give me time to include it in the latest edition. Joke of the month: A young blonde girl in her late teens, wanting to earn some extra money for the summer, decided to hire herself out as a "handy woman" and started canvassing a nearby well-to-do neighbourhood. She went to the front door of the first house and asked the owner if he had any odd jobs for her to do. "Well, I guess I could use somebody to paint the porch" he said. "How much will you charge me?" Delighted, the girl quickly responded, "How about $50?" The man agreed and told her that the paint, brushes and everything she would need were in the garage. The man's wife hearing the conversation, said to her husband, "Does she not realize that our porch goes all the way round the house?" "That's a bit cynical, isn't it?" he responded. The wife replied, "You're right. I guess I'm starting to believe all those dumb blonde jokes." A few hours later the blonde came to the door to collect her money. "You're finished already??" the startled husband asked. "Yes" the blonde replied, and I even had paint left over so I gave it two coats." Impressed, the man reached into his pocket for the $50 and handed it to her along with a $10 tip. "Thank you" the blonde said, "By the way, it's not a Porch, it's an Audi".
