SALES NEWS COOLMORE, CHINA HORSE CLUB BUSY AT INGLIS Coolmore Stud, in partnership with the China Horse Club, were active buyers at last week=s Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale in Sydney. The partnership=s purchases included a pair of colts by Fastnet Rock (Aus); John Warren signed for lot 123 on behalf of the partnership for A$2.4 million, while Coolmore=s Tom Magnier signed the ticket at A$1.5 million for lot 82. All the yearlings are expected to be trained in Australia, according to a release from Coolmore. Last year, it was announced that Coolmore was partnering with the Chinese government-owned Tianjin State Farms Agribusiness Group and Desert Star Holdings, an affiliate of the China Horse Club, to establish the breeding operation for China=s Tianjin Equine Culture City (TECC) project. The Tianjin facility is expected to begin a phased opening later this year.
