Delta Township’s signature events, Delta Rocks! Family Festival and the annual Fireworks display are always very popular activities which we are very proud of. Our extensive parks system offers recreational opportunities to all residents regardless of age. You can see the up- coming programs and recreational opportunities listed in the following pages. This will be an especially exciting year for our parks. The Township is in the process of completing its purchase of Grand Woods Park from the City of Lansing, officially adding it to our parks system. We will be installing our first pickleball courts this summer in Delta Mills Park. Development plans are also ramping up for the Township’s newest park, Mount Hope Park. Mount Hope Park: The park will be located on Mount Hope Highway, east of Nixon Road and will serve the growing number of residents on the west side of the Township. In September of 2015, the Township purchased property adjacent to the planned park location, providing a total of 120 acres for future park development. The Delta Township board voted to move forward with phase one of Mount Hope Park planning and development. Planning a new park is an exciting process which takes expertise, time, and valuable feedback. The Parks and Recreation Department has held several public hearings to solicit resident feedback on what should be included in the park. -

(Nov. 10, 2020) – Kings Dominion is reopening in December with a new limited- time, limited-capacity event, Kings Dominion’s Taste of the Season: An Outdoor Holiday Experience. The holiday celebration will feature 25 sweet and savory tastings, festive themed areas, live shows, and 16 popular rides throughout the park. The event will be open on select dates between December 5 and December 27. The park has developed stringent health, safety and hygiene protocols, which align with CDC guidance and incorporate information from company and industry health and safety experts, along with state and local government officials to protect guests and associates. "This has been a challenging year for everyone, which is why we are ready and excited to welcome guests back to the park for some holiday cheer," said Tony Johnson, vice president and general manager at Kings Dominion. "Kings Dominion has a comprehensive safety plan in place that has proven to be effective in all of our sister parks that were allowed to safely operate earlier this year. We can't wait for families to return to the park and make treasured holiday memories safely."
