Our Under 12/13 restricted team coached by Wayne Rhodes ended their 2018 season last Saturday when they went down in a closely contested sudden death semi-final to ECB Barracudas 4-14. The score does not really reflect the closeness of the game which could have gone either way but for a couple of missed opportunities by our boys. Spectators were treated to an exciting match with a very high level of skill by two very well drilled (and disciplined) teams. There were some extremely determined efforts by both teams across the park and especially on defence. The boys were obviously gutted with the final result and missing out on playing in this week’s grand final but as this was their first year in the grade they have another year in this grade so can look forward to bigger and better things. They certainly gave it their all on the field and are a credit to everyone involved with the team. Post-match speeches acknowledged how excited the club is to have such a talented bunch of young players who have an abundance of support and that we look forward to them being our senior players of the future. Thanks to everyone involved in the team over the last many years and we look forward to what the 2019 season brings. Try time for the Tigers!
