I Ocala/Marion County is Horse Capital of the World® because we have more horses and ponies than any other county inthe United States. I Total economic impact of the equine industry in the county is $2.62 billion. I Equines attribute to $1.6 billion of the county’s GDP total of $8.7 billion. I Most recent Kentucky Derby and Breeders’ Cup contenders have had their early training in Central Florida. I OBS consistently brings in over $140 million in revenue annually from the sale of Thoroughbreds, buyers from 48 states and 19 countries. I Wire to Wire Daily Racing Digest is published in Marion County to promote the thoroughbred industry – the only printed daily of any breeding region in the world. I The racing industry creates over 12,000 in-state jobs with a payroll of over $400 million in wages and benefits annually. I Over 20,000 thoroughbreds are engaged in racing in Florida and 15,000 thoroughbreds from across the country are trained here annually. I Florida consistently ranks number two as a breeding region in the U.S. for thoroughbreds. I Marion County is one of the top five breeding regions in the world. FLORIDA THOROUGHBRED FLORIDA DEPT. Her dedication to the Fund was consistent with her lifetime of tireless commitment to a variety of civic and professional organizations here in New York. She will long be remembered not only as a role model for women involved in the practice of law but also as a forceful advocate for the humane treatment of all animals.

He ran Beyers of 111-112-111-112-109-115 during his run--very high for a grass horse--and he sired 2011 GI Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom (what a score for that canny Arrowfield team) in his second crop. By Blushing Groom=s son Candy Stripes out of an Ahonoora half-sister to Hasili, dam of Dansili, he=s got a very appealing pedigree also. He=s listed for $25,000 for 2013, the highest for any North American sire outside Kentucky.
