Knight Frank's South East office team wins Office Agency Team of the Year Submitted by: pr-sending-enterprises Friday, 9 June 2006 Knight Frank’s (http://www.knightfrank.co.uk) National Offices team, which operates in the M25 and South East (excluding Central London) office market, scooped the Office Agency Team of the Year award at 11th annual Property Awards evening, organised by Property Week. Eighteen hundred people attended the awards held at the Grosvenor House hotel on London's Park Lane which was presented by actor Stephen Fry and past and present members of the England cricket team including Michael Vaughan, Darren Gough, Graham Thorpe and Alec Stewart. The judges were impressed with the team’s accomplishment in 2005 where it achieved the largest market share by disposed square footage of 11.8%. Its nearest competitor had a market share of 9.1%. The 12-strong team was shortlisted alongside CB Richard Ellis, DTZ, GVA Grimley and Jones Lang LaSalle. The team has continued to embrace a wider geographical remit than many of its competitors. This has been achieved through a portfolio of key Thames Valley instructions, balanced by excellent performances from instructions in other locations such as Hertfordshire, Kent and Sussex. Key transactions in 2005 included: City Park, Brighton & Hove (200,000 sq ft); Meadowside & Network House, Hemel Hempstead (110,000 sq ft); and 200 Bath Road, Slough (70,000 sq ft). The team has an impressive client base with a wide range of landlords and occupiers (http://www.knightfrank.co.uk). Clients include: AXA, Catalyst Capital; EDF Energy; F&C; London Development Agency; Prudential; Reckitt Benckiser; Reed Elsevier; Slough Estates; and Threadneedle. The team has also significantly expanded its portfolio of business, with instructions gained from new high profile clients, including: Exemplar Properties; Hines; Insight; Landid; and T-Mobile. In particular, the team secured a major instruction from the London Development Agency to relocate approximately 150 businesses in preparation for the 2012 Olympics. Emma Goodford, head of national offices, Knight Frank said: “To say that we are overwhelmed with pride would be an understatement. This award is certainly something to celebrate and is a true reflection of the success of the team. We are committed to playing a major part in many of the future schemes in the South East.” About Knight Frank (http://www.knightfrank.co.uk) Knight Frank is a leading independent global property consultancy (http://www.knightfrank.co.uk).
