Changes to Sunday & Public Holiday buses to Bath from Urchfont, The Lavingtons, Potterne, Devizes & Sells Green
from 30th April 2017
Buses on Sundays and Public Holidays from Urchfont, The Lavingtons, Potterne, Devizes and Sells Green to Bath are currently operated by the “First” bus company as route 271, with funding from Wiltshire Council.
Unfortunately First have advised us that they no longer wish to continue with this arrangement and instead have decided to operate a service between Melksham and Bath only, as a commercial venture without Council funding, with effect from 30th April 2017.
Wiltshire Council has therefore arranged for another bus company called “Salisbury Reds” to provide a separate service from the Urchfont and Devizes area, to connect with the “First” bus service at Melksham. The combined timetable for both of these services is shown below and special fares will be charged to ensure that passengers do not lose out financially by the need to change buses.

Key: → - passengers travelling to/from Bath, please change to connecting bus at Melksham Market Place L - This journey picks up opposite The Croft Bus Shelter and runs direct via Lydeway to Devizes arriving there at 1655 and 1855.
