Remember…sharing a cup of water (or coffee) might be a little thing, unless you are the thirsty one who needs it. So Jesus reminds us that our lives turn on small acts: And small acts of kindness can make a profound difference in another person's life. Remember, in addition to extending a small act of charity, compassion, or making a sacrificial gift to the House of Charity, Jesus reminds us that even a few words, like cups of cold water to the thirsty, can be the turning point of a lifetime. And all of us can offer just a few words like I'm sorry, I love you, you are forgiven, God bless you, or let me help you. These could be the words someone is thirsting for, and just might change their life forever. With a loving and grateful heart, Msgr.
