TheAn 11-day garden historyGardens study-travel abroad experience in Irel andof and for Extension Master Gardeners and their guests July 17- July 27, 2019 This class will expand Master Gardeners’ knowledge in ornamental horticulture, landscape, and garden design in a historical context. We’ll visit and study 18th, 19th, 20th and even 21st century garden / landscape sites such as Powerscourt, Killruddery, Mount Usher, , Heywood Garden, , Ilnaculin, House, , the Ballymaloe Cookery School & Organic Garden, June Blake’s Garden, Hunting Brook Garden, Hillside Garden, and the Japanese and St. Fiachra’s Gardens at the Irish National Stud.

Program Policies: Registration is only open to participants in a Cooperative Extension Service Master Gardener Program (one guest permitted). Enrollment will be limited to 25 total (Master Gardeners and guests), available on a fi rst come basis with a $500 deposit required, beginning December 4, 2018. Advanced Master Gardener Training hours will be available to those Purdue University Master Gardeners who complete the required reading assignments and quizzes. Master Gardener participants may also earn volunteer service hours upon their return by sharing what they’ve learned with others.
