Rome, Assisi & Florence with Rev. Eric Mueller November 8 - 17, 2017

Day 1- Wednesday Nov. 8: Depart USA for overnight flight to Rome.

Day 2 - Thursday Nov. 9: Rome / Assisi - Arrive Rome and transfer to our motor coach for our drive through the Umbria countryside to Assisi. Balance of day is free to freshen up from our travels or venture out on your own. Dinner and overnight in Assisi. (D)

Day 3 - Friday Nov. 10: Assisi - This morning, after Mass at the tomb of St. Francis, we enjoy an orientation tour of Assisi, including the Basilica of St. Francis, Santa Maria degli Angeli and the Convent of St. Clare. Remainder of day is free to explore on your own. You may want to visit San Damiano where St Francis heard the cross speak to him or San Rufino where St. Francis and St Clare were Baptized. Enjoy a gelato or do some shopping. Dinner & overnight in Assisi. (B, D)

Day 4 - Saturday Nov. 11: Assisi / Norcia - After breakfast we make our way to Norcia, a beautiful Medieval village and the birthplace of St. Benedict and his twin sister St. Scholastica. We will participate in the beautiful Chanted Mass with the Monks of Norcia. Enjoy a tour of the Basilica and crypt where St. Benedict and St. Scholastica were born. Enjoy the product of the Monks labor Birra Nursia. Time for lunch and strolling the quaint streets of this walled town. Return to Assisi for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 5 - Sunday Nov. 12: Assisi / Florence - Today we depart Assisi and make our way to Florence. This Afternoon we will take part in a tour of the massive Duomo (Basilica) which dominates the skyline, the Baptistery with its famous bronze doors (Gates of Paradise), Campanile di Giotto, and Santa Croce Church where Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci are buried. Pending confirmation we will also visit San Marco Convent to view the famous “Fra Angelico” paintings. Dinner and per person, Cash/Check overnight. Full price for 25 go to the Academia to view Michelangelo’s famous statue of David. Afterward we make our way to Rome with a stop in the breathtaking paying with credit card: $ 3,846.00. city of Orvieto to view the Eucharistic miracle. (B, D) (If group falls below 25 but at least 20 price is $3,899.00 per person, double occupancy Day 7 - Tuesday Nov. 14: Rome: After breakfast your day begins based on payment with Cash/check) with a guided tour of Christian Rome. We will visit the three major Included basilicas in Rome including St. Mary Major, St. John Lateran, and  Airfare out of Detroit Scala Sanctus. This afternoon we make our way to one of the  8 Nights accommodations Catacombs along the Appian Way, as well as St. Paul Outside the  8 Breakfasts, 8 Dinners (glass of wine Walls, built over the Saint's burial place. In the afternoon we will visit the Basilica  Transfers from international airport, for of San Clemente, including the famous excavations. The remainder those on group air. of the afternoon is free.
