VOLUME 1 April- XI INSIGHT 30 June ISSUE 4 Department of Electronics Engineering 2020

HOD Speak Dear Readers, Inside this Welcome to all readers of this issue of InSight. We have been Issue staying at home for almost three and a half months. This period has been a testing time on all the fronts of life for us. However we tried to do all our academic activities with the same spirit. PAGE 2 We considered this situation as an opportunity and got connected to many of our old contacts including our alumni. Our alumni had Faculty Profile whole heartedly supported in conducting interactive sessions for the students to guide them in multiple domains ranging from very core Prof. Ulka Padwalkar topics to skill enhancement. We also kept our students busy in some Dr. Anjali Deshpande Prof. Javed Patel sessions where they resented their ideas to the industry experts. Head of Electronics Department Academic licence of Matlab has been utilized to a great extent by Series of Webinar faculty as well as students.

Nature’s Blog We are all now set for online teaching mode and trying to make our sessions meaningful and engaging for the students. There will be challenges in the way, but I am sure that continued

efforts will help us to go through this situation and student centric learning methodologies will PAGE 3 ensure that our students keep learning from wherever they are. Stay safe and healthy. Hoping to meet you all in person soon. My best wishes to everyone..

from Bangalore section, Nagpur subsection and Kerala Section, among others. The problem Scan and get linked with statements were divided into three levels of difficulty: easy, medium and hard. Problems were ETRX Newsletter based on many mathematical and computational concepts. There were six problem statements and 2 tie breakers as well as a “Thank you” challenge. Participants could solve challenges in any order they want, and the tie-breaker questions were added at 3 PM and 4 PM. The “Thank You” challenge contained the feedback form, and after the participants filled the form they had to print "Done". The winner of the competition was a student from IIT-Delh – Mr. Anirudha Kulkarni, and First-Runner Up - SIES GST (SIES Graduate School of Technology) – Mr. Cibin
