The power of Two cube also known as the Monomial Cube is one of a variety of ways, we combine sensorial with mathematics. For the younger child we use this lesson as a stacker, learning how to match colors. As the child matures and grasps mathematical understanding, we use this as a visual aid to explain exponentiation. Mathematically this cube represents expression 2 (for this cube n is an integer from 1 to 5.” The Joy of Practical Life and Sensorial Our purple bow young lady is combining her lacing skills while practicing her geometric shapes. The lacing is in preparation of learning to tie shoes. While the other young lady is using geometric shapes, hammer and nails to create a house. Using a hammer and nails will come in handy as she gets older. November Upcoming Events Thursday, November 19 – Thanksgiving Day Celebration – Musical Performance 3:00 pm via Zoom Friday, November 20 – Primary, Elementary 1, 2 and secondary closed. We will be honoring the 2019/2020 VPK and Kindergarten graduates on this day. Monday, November 23-Friday, November 27 - Primary, Elementary 1, 2 and secondary closed. Thursday, November 26 & Friday, November 27 – The nest will also be closed. Monday, November 30-December 2, 2020 – Picture Day. Picture Day We are looking forward to having Life Touch Photography take the children’s pictures this year. Please pay attention to the dates. October 30 will be the NEST, Elementary 1 and Siblings. November 1 will be Primary Blue, Primary Grey, Elementary 2 and Secondary November 2 – will be make-up picture day. Please remember to have your child dress in their Sunday best and bring their uniform to change into. .
