With the lads on a high from our last cup game against Hackney Downs B and putting in an excellent performance against Premiership outfit Millwall and this cup possibly out last chance of silverware this season, I expect nothing but 100% today from every area of the field. I would like to thank everyone who has supported us this season and today, lets bring the noise and get behind the boys today! Good luck lads! LMFC! Lord Morpeth Player Coach: Freddie Rogers Comments After two weeks of no games due to weather conditions and no fixture available we are going in to this game full of confidence after a good run of form having only lost one game on penalties in the quarter final of the Jubilee Cup against Millwall Albion. The lads have worked extremely hard to get where they are today and deservedly so, they deserve every bit of praise and credit possible for working so hard on the training ground and putting that into the matches to get results each week! I am extremely proud of the lads, they show great spirit and fight every week to get them where they are. They have come so far! Wharfahampton have a very strong set up having only lost one game this season in the Jubilee Cup to Byron. They bring great football ability and talent to today’s game. I know the lads will go out there today and give it there best to get us to the final. I have %100 confidence in every player! Thanks to all the supporters that have come to watch every game and especially today, we are very grateful that you give up your time to come and support the lads! GOOD LUCK LADS, YOU ARE ALREADY WINNERS FOR GETTING THIS FAR! Lord Morpeth Public House 402, Old Ford Road, Bow, London The Lord Nelson Twitter @lordmorpethfc 1 Manchester Road, Isle of Dogs Manager / Coach Comments Wharfahampton Manager: Steven Rose’s Comments It’s our first season in the East London League and things couldn’t have gone much better. There are a lot of new faces in the team this year but its like we’ve played together for years and with an undefeated record in the League which backs that up. We’re 11 points clear of today’s opponents who occupy second spot with only six games to go, so we are confident of becoming champions. But for today we are solely concentrating on the game and hoping for the win that will take us to the final, where we aim to hopefully grab the double. Lord Mopeth are our friendly rivals. Knowing their manager, coach and a few of the players makes us even more determined to come out on top. They are the only capable team of catching us in the league (miracle, then maybe they would) They are a well organised team and we will have to be at our best to beat them. Personally I think this fixture should have been the Final as it is the two best teams in the competition.
