Armin Buuren Sells Out The Brooklyn Mirage

I wasn’t planning on going out. To be honest, the past couple of weeks were completely hard for me. It was until my best friend, Selene Garcia convinced me to come out to see at The Brooklyn Mirage.

It was the first time I was going to see Armin headlining a show in Brooklyn. What I knew for sure was, that it was going to be something I’d never forget.

Event Review: Estiva, Alpha9 and ASOT with Armin Van Buuren

The overall energy of the crowd was amazing. The answer was spending time with friends and good company. The Brooklyn Mirage is a beautiful venue. It’s very spacious and there’s enough space for everyone to dance.

Estiva stole my heart. I don’t really listen to techno, but he was a perfect blend of techno and progressive trance. After listening to his set, I would listen to it over and over. His style reminded me a lot of Gabriel and Dresden, which are my favorite trance group at the moment. I hope I can catch him at a festival soon. His remix of Lights with Ellie Goulding was transcending and just beautiful to listen to.

Alpha 9 completely blew me away. The energy he was putting out to the crowd was incredible. When Alpha 9 remixed Halcyon On And On, I was completely blown away. Just everything Alpha 9 mixed was perfectly curated and I just cannot wait to see him again.

The One And Only Armin Van Buuren

When Armin Van Buuren came on, I felt at home. Despite not going to EDC, his performance was everything to me. He played all of my favorites and threw some classics that made me reminisce about the first time I saw Armin perform at Ezoo. It was a bittersweet moment for me. Knowing I had to leave early, I had to wait for his song Blah Blah Blah, which is my favorite song by him. I’ve been on a psytrance kick and every time I hear that song, it reminds me of Ultra this year. I love the new collaborations Armin is going to release soon. From his collaborations with Vini Vici and incorporating his classic sound, I am excited to see Armin Van Buuren again!

Armin Van Buuren taught me that no matter all the dark times you experience, music is the answer. It’s the cure to get you through the day. He also taught me that life goes on, even if you don’t want it to. To persevere and to rave on. Thank you, Armin.
