Methods: The study was conducted in department of obstetrics and gynecology at Guwahati Medical College, in duration of 2007-2009. Total 200 high risk patients underwent VAST. Results: VAST done among all these patients and according to fetal response divided into VAST reactive and non- reactive. In 162 (81%) patients VAST was reactive and 38 (19%) non-reactive. Among VAST (162) reactive patients, 126 (77.77%) went for spontaneous vaginal delivery and for 36 (22.22%) induction planned. Induction failed in 9 patients and cesarean section done. Total babies shifted to NICU 13 (6.5%), 4 babies expired (2%) and 9 (4.5%) improved.

Robust signal processing techniques are required to denoise the signals in order to improve the diagnostic capabilities of fPCG. A linear filter is used to eliminate distortion and interference from the fPCG signals through conventional denoising techniques. This paper searched for optimal configuration of the wavelet based denoising system. Based on the experimental results, can be conclude that the signal should be decomposed on six levels. From this it can be seen that the lowest MSE (mean square error) value is the use of coiflets three with SURE threshold algorithm with hard threshold parameters. The primary goal is to identify fetuses at risk of intrauterine death or neonatal complications and intervene (often by delivery) to prevent these adverse outcomes, if possible. The nonstress test (NST) and the contraction stress test (CST) are used for antepartum FHR testing. An abnormal test (nonreactive NST, positive CST) is sometimes associated with adverse fetal or neonatal outcomes, while a normal test (reactive NST, negative CST) is usually associated with a neurologically intact and adequately oxygenated fetus. When interpreting these tests, the clinician needs to account for gestational age, prior results of fetal assessment, maternal conditions (including medications), and fetal condition (eg, growth restriction, anemia, arrhythmia).
