Free Technical Theater Work Sessions Ages 15 & Up – LIMITED ENROLLMENT!
Participants will: learn the basic principles of stagecraft, including set & properties construction, scenic painting and lighting learn the safe operation of various hand and power tools as they relate to theatre tech help construct the set for the Near West’s summer production of Assassins and join the production crew for one or more productions between now and April, 2017 in any one of a variety of jobs (including set crew, light board operator, spotlight operator, assistant stage manager, props crew, or sound technician.)
Sessions run: June 13th to July 13th, 2016 Monday & Wednesday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (This program is designed to allow flexibility of participation.)
Location: Near West Theatre 6702 Detroit Avenue Cleveland, OH in the Gordon Square Arts District
Participants must apply for the work sessions by Monday, June 6, 2016 (see attached form)
