Sammy is a music man, entrepreneur, and founder of the first South Asian influenced record company in North America called Rukus Avenue. Over the last 20 years his music has been featured in over 60 different film and television shows worldwide.
He is the Executive Producer of the Music To Inspire music series, a new integration of music to make a social change. He worked in collaboration with President Obama’s anti-bullying campaign called Act To Change; a music project put together with the White House to battle the growing problem of bullying amongst its youth.
He is also the man behind the new music compilation for the United Nations and their fight against human trafficking. A 60 track music compilation featuring some of the worlds most famous musicians, activists, and dignitaries, including President Jimmy Carter, Quincy Jones, Sonu Nigam, and AR Rahman. His work as Composer and Music Supervisor for the hit film SOLD has ignited his passion in the fight against Human Trafficking.
He is currently the music producer for The Black Prince Soundtrack - The Music Inspired by The Motion Picture. Sammy was awarded the Los Angeles City Citizen of the year award in 1994, and he was recently listed as one of the 10 most influential South Asians in the United States in 2017.
