About this document
Use the tables in this document to identify the products with which Infor VISUAL 10.0.0 is compatible. In this document, “compatible products” are products with which 10.0.0 has been specifically designed to function. This document contains these sections: Required software To run VISUAL, you are required to install certain software. This section describes the components required to run VISUAL. Compatible software This section shows which VISUAL products, Infor products, and third-party products are certified for use with 10.0.0. For some software, a piece of integration software is required for compatibility. For example, if you use Infor CRM with VISUAL, you must use Infor ION to connect VISUAL and Infor CRM. Integration methods This section lists software that is used to connect VISUAL to another product.
Certification statuses For each product listed in the tables, the current certification status is displayed. These statuses are used: Supported The product is certified to function with VISUAL on the version of Windows indicated. Pending The product is not yet certified to function with VISUAL. Certification is anticipated soon. Not Supported This product is not certified to function with VISUAL.

Products not listed in this document are not scheduled to become certified with VISUAL.
Language packs Infor VISUAL 10.x.x is compatible only with the 10.x.x versions of VISUAL WizTom™ language packs. Previous versions of VISUAL language packs are not compatible with Infor VISUAL 10.x.x.
Known compatibility issues The software listed in this section is compatible with 10.0.0 with caveats. • Infor VISUAL CRM. Infor VISUAL CRM is certified for use with the 32-bit versions of Microsoft Office applications. It is not certified for use with the 64-bit version. If you intend to use CRM in conjunction with 10.0.0, you should use the 32-bit version of Microsoft Outlook. • Infor VISUAL Quality and Infor Quality Management. Infor VISUAL Quality is not compatible with 10.0.0. Infor Quality Management (IQM) is the quality management system certified for use with 10.0.0. IQM is built on the Mongoose platform If you currently use VISUAL Quality, you can upgrade VISUAL Quality to IQM. To obtain entitlement to download this upgrade, open a support ticket indicating that you wish to download the IQM upgrade to VQ. The incident will be routed to your renewal manager, where the necessary system updates will be made so that you can download the upgrade from the Infor Xtreme download center. You can also contact your renewal manager directly. • DesignLink. To use DesignLink with Oracle 19c, you must use a 64-bit Oracle ODBC driver. • Master Product Configurator (Experlogix). The Master Product Configurator (MPC) database is single-byte. As a result, double-byte characters used in VISUAL may not be displayed or stored properly in the MPC database. For best results, use characters in the Latin 1 character set for configured parts.

To run VISUAL, you must use a certified database engine, server operating system, and client operating system. You must also use the correct Gupta runtimes.

Users of Windows 64-bit systems should make sure that the optional 32-bit support files are loaded before installing or running VISUAL products. These are normally installed by default. However, some systems may be running with a minimum of installed features. Note that Password Expiration is controlled by the VISUAL application (VM.EXE) so there is no need to set it through the SQL Server security settings. Also, the main VISUAL executables force passwords to be different from the user ID. Therefore, there is no need to control this via the SQL Server security system. The SQL Server Native Client 10.0 should not be used with VISUAL products. Use of previous SQL Server ODBC drivers is preferred. Oracle users may choose any server operating system that is supported by Oracle Corporation for the appropriate version of Oracle database including UNIX or LINUX. Just be certain that the VISUAL product to be used is compatible with the Oracle database version.

Oracle users running on 64-bit operating systems still need to use the 32-bit version of the Oracle client even if the database is 64-bit. VISUAL products are 32-bit applications and the 64-bit version of oraoci.dll does not properly connect to 32-bit communications libraries. For users of VISUAL CRM you will need both the 32-bit and 64-bit Oracle clients installed into separate ORACLE_HOME’s. Oracle 12.1 and 19.1 client connections to the Oracle database engine are supported. SQL Server Standard Edition and SQL Server Enterprise Edition are supported.
Client operating systems Windows 10 32-bit or 64-bit is certified for use with VISUAL 10.0.0.
Open Text runtimes You must use Open Text Runtimes 7.3.1. It is highly recommended that you remove all other versions of the Open Text runtimes.
