Upon arrival, I spoke to the complainant, Bob Tebbitt. The complainant told me he found a bicycle on his property and thought it might be stolen. He wanted to turn it over to police. I saw the bike and tried to find a serial number, but could not locate one. I could not get the bike into my car and the complainant told me he would hold it until an officer could come get it. Officer Elliott, 2A05, had room in his vehicle and he took the bike to property and turned it in there. There was no owner information available. 18-003970 1/14/2018 12:29:00AM 91Z Miscellaneous Information 1710 Urban Trl On 01/14/2018 at 00:42 hours, Officer Matthew Braisted #429 (75375) reported a memo at 1710 Urban Trl. Police were dispatched to a report of a female screaming "help me" on the third floor of . Upon arrival police located Mr. Spencer Watkins outside of this location. He reported his girlfriend, Ms. McKenzie OConnell was very intoxicated and had run outside of her apartment screaming before returning inside . I attempted to make contact with Ms. OConnell but she would not come to the door. Ms. OConnell repeatedly called Mr. Spencer during this time, but hung up each time when Mr. OConnell would ask her to come to the door. No signs of distress were observed. I was unable to make any direct contact or phone contact with Ms. OConnell. No further. 18-004005 1/14/2018 3:30:00AM 91Z Field Interview 4104 13th Ave On 01/14/2018 at 03:35 hours, Officer Wilkey (79916) reported a memo at 4104 13th Ave. Upon my arrival I made contact with Melanie Sherrill. Ms. Sherrill stated she had an old emergency call only phone and had accidentally call 911. She stated everything was ok at the residence and that she did not need police. No further action was taken. 18-004024 1/14/2018 7:37:00AM 240 MVT/Passenger Vehicle 2929 Hamill Rd On 01/14/2018 at 19:25 hours, I, Officer C. Blackburn #1086, responded to an abandoned vehicle at 3800 Lightfoot Mill Rd., the abandoned vehicle was reportedly off or the roadway up next to the train tracks. Upon arrival I spoke with special agent Michael Frogg with the railroad police, who informed me the vehicle, a white Toyota Tacoma pickup, was spotted by a passing train around 18:30 and called in. The vehicle was off the roadway and stuck in the rocks next to the train tracks, roughly 300 feet down the tracks. There was no tag found on the vehicle and a registration was conducted using the VIN. The registration came back showing the vehicle was registered stolen from 2929 Hamill Rd. on 1/14/18 from Jimmie Talley. I contacted Mr. Talley and informed him that his vehicle had been found and that given its position it would have to be towed from the scene. Mr. Talley requested that the vehicle be towed and I call him with the tow companies information and he would pick the vehicle up from the tow company. Denton's Wrecker service was contacted and responded to the area and towed the vehicle from the scene. The vehicle was removed from NCIC and Mr. Talley was notified that Denton's Wrecker had towed the vehicle, and also informed of the damage I observed on the vehicle. I also informed Mr. Talley that there was no license on the vehicle, and it appeared to have been stolen off of the truck before the suspects abandoned the vehicle. TN license was entered into NCIC as a stolen tag. NCIC #P056461941. 18-004037 1/14/2018 9:10:00AM 240 MVT/Passenger Vehicle 2717 Rossville Blvd 1/14/2018 12:00:18AM TO 1/20/2018 11:59:18PM On 01/16/2018 at 08:50 hours, Officer Matthew Rogers (60443) wrote a continuation/supplement for a MVT/Passenger Vehicle at 2717 Rossville Blvd. On 01-15-18 at approximately 0851hrs. I, Det. M. Rogers #925, was assigned case# 18-004037. Upon reviewing the case I spoke to the victim who stated that he gave his vehicle to a party named Joshua Johnson to go to the store on the night of 01-14-18 and that he has not seen either his vehicle or the party since. On 01-16-17 I learned from the victim that his vehicle had been recovered in Walker Ga. and that he took over possession of his vehicle. It was also discovered that during the recovery by Walker C.S.O. that suspect Joshua Johnson was arrested in the vehicle and charged accordingly. Due to the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of the vehicle this case will now be cleared by arrest. Vehicle no longer shows stolen through NCIC. 18-004107 1/14/2018 3:22:00PM 91Z Miscellaneous Information 1606 E 48th St On 01/14/2018 at 15:33 hours, Officer Ellis (68393) responded to 1606 E 48th St. Upon arrival officers were met by the complainant Ashley Brooks who stated that Mr. Michael Brooks was stating that he was going to take the GMC Yukon which was assigned to her through Divorce paperwork. Mr. Brooks stated that he did not say he would take the vehicle although it is in his name but the divorce papers stated it is awarded to her. Neither party was being violent or appeared to be and Mr. Brooks willingly handed officers the key to the box truck he was retrieving his property from and gave them to Mrs. Brooks. No further incident. 18-004115 1/14/2018 4:15:00PM 23C Shoplifting 2020 Gunbarrel Rd On 01/14/2018 at 16:23 hours, Officer Layne, Dakota (77578) responded to a Shoplifting at 2020 Gunbarrel Rd. Upon arrival police spoke with Ms. Dool who stated that a unknown black male and an unknown black female entered the store. The male then placed a TV in a shopping cart and walked out the door. Ms. Dool stated that both people involved was involved in other thefts at that location and the Hixson Walmart. No further. 18-004131 1/14/2018 5:31:00PM 91Z Miscellaneous Information 1905 Randolph St On 01/14/2018 at 17:42 hours, Officer Silva (70787) reported a memo at 1905 Randolph St. Upon arrival, police spoke with the complainant, Jasmine Glover. Mrs. Glover stated a man came by earlier claiming she had put a bunch of furniture on his property. Mrs. Glover believed it was her neighbors fault, James Hogue. Mr. Hogue stated it was a misunderstanding and he had already resolved the issue. Both of these parties have on going issues with each other and were told to stay away from each other. Nothing further. 18-004145 1/14/2018 6:08:00PM 91Z Field Interview 2126 Gunbarrel Rd On 01/14/2018 at 18:27 hours, Officer Layne, Dakota (77578) reported a memo at 2126 Gunbarrel Rd. Upon arrival police spoke to Ms. Rene who was under a tarp beside the front door of the Bank of America. Ms. Rene stated that she was homeless and was staying there during the weekend because the bank was closed and she thought she was fine there. Police informed her that she was scaring people coming attempting to use the ATM. Police asked Ms. Rene to leave the area and she left walking toward the homeless camp behind the theater. Riverbend Material called to add a serial number to the Apple I-pad that was stolen. The Serial # is DMPRRH6TG5VV nothing further 18-004153 1/14/2018 6:52:00PM 23C Shoplifting 1812 Gunbarrel Rd On 01/14/2018 at 19:02 hours, Officer Shelor, Nicholas (78349) responded to a Shoplifting at 1812 Gunbarrel Rd. Upon arrival, I spoke with the loss prevention representative Brandi Scott; she stated at 1852 a black female exited the store with a cart full of merchandise. The black female was wearing a white jacket, light colored blue jeans and a pair of black and white tennis shoes. An employee watched her run out of the store with the merchandise, then ran out of the store and captured a picture of her vehicle. The picture was of a white Nissan Maxima with a drive out tag and had damage to the front passenger side bumper. He stated that the light front passenger light was also not illuminated. The employee stated that he witnessed the female enter on the passenger side of the vehicle and then the vehicle left. The loss prevention representative was unsure of what exactly was taken from the store and will call police to update the report when she finds out.
