Montreat College 2009 – 2010 Academic Catalog Montreat College 2009 – 2010 Academic Catalog Published by Montreat College, Montreat, NC 28757. Montreat College This catalog provides general information about Montreat College and summarizes important information about the college’s policies, requirements for graduation, regulations and procedures. It is not intended to establish, nor does it establish, a contractual relationship with students. Rather, the catalog is published to acquaint students with information that will be helpful to them during their college careers. It is necessary in the general administration of the college to establish requirements and regulations governing the granting of degrees. Academic advisors, department chairs, and academic staff members are available to aid students in understanding these requirements and regulations. It is the student’s responsibility, however, to meet them. Students are urged to keep this catalog as a reference. Changes in curricular requirements may occur during catalog publications. Students will be informed of such changes. When this occurs, students may follow the requirements in effect at the time they entered Montreat College, or they may petition to follow the changed requirements. The college has made a good faith effort to avoid typographical errors and other errors in the statements of policy and degree requirements as published. In any case, erroneous catalog statements do not take precedence over properly adopted policies. As an institution in the Presbyterian and Reformed tradition, the college seeks to treat all persons equally and emphasizes the dignity and worth of the individual.
