The World Internet Conference has brought a significant facelift to lives of people and businesses in Zhejiang prov ince’s Jiaxing, where Wuzhen is located. Since it was chosen as the permanent site for hosting the WIC in 2014, over the past five years, the once small tourist town has emerged as a sparkling pearl and a new landmark in the map of China’s digital economy.
