Homecoming: The time of year where we show our support for our Lynx. Many things happened during homecoming week from cross-dressing cheerleaders to a win that our boys can be proud of. However, the most exciting part about homecoming, for some, was spirit week. It started off with Pajama Day on Monday. It looked like everyone was enjoying themselves because of the lack of effort needed to dress for school. “I put zero effort into getting ready today,” freshman Bella Torres said. On Tuesday, the hall was filled with twins. It was fun trying to find everyone's doppelganger. “This day is fun because we are related and it's fun to look alike,” freshman “twins” Danielle Heddins Photo by pixabay.com and Khairi Kennedy said. Wednesday, people were more creative and dressed in their favorite memes, from Salt Bae to John Cena. “This day is one of my favorites because of everyone’s love for memes,” junior Jensen Silva said. Thursday, students joined the circus. “You can become anyone in a circus,” sophomore Jauslien Davila said. “It was fun to be able to have that freedom.” Lastly, on Friday we showed our school spirit. Everyone dressed in school colors to support our varsity team. We also had our first all-school pep rally of the season. This pep rally showed our homecoming court candidates, ending with a crowned Homecoming Queen and King. “I was so surprised,” senior Homecoming Queen Shaylyn Whiteley said. “It was pretty cool.”
