The Deputy Home Minister later claimed that the statement was taken out of context, but there is 18 March no context in which it is appropriate to allow the issue of ethnicity to subjugate the very universal problem of child rape. It is also an issue that someone of this high standing in Parliament is seemingly attempting to sweep this beneath the carpet, instead of treating it as an issue that needs serious attention.

  • Crisis Committee Issue: Transition of Power in Malaysia Student Officer
Shanghai Model United Nations XX 2018 | Research Reports Forum: Crisis Committee Issue: Transition of Power in Malaysia Student Officer: Wesley Chiu Position: Crisis Chair Mohamad Sabu (Minister of Defense) From a culinary graduate to the Minister of Defense, Mat Sabu’s rise in Malaysian politics is widely considered as one of the most bizarre journey. Sabu, unlike many other military personnel, is a charismatic and holistic leader who constantly speaks out racial and religious tensions in Malaysia. Despite not being a typical military officer, Sabu has a grand vision for the Malaysian military. With the deteriorating state of most equipments and the rapidly advancing military technology, Sabu intents to implement a whole scale change in the military by brining in drone aircrafts and introducing the use of Artificial Intelligence into the military. However, understanding that the government is currently on a tight budget, Subu recognizes that his vision might take a certain level of patience before becoming a reality. Mohamed Azmin Ali (Minister of Economic Affairs) While it is true that the Malaysian people has just elected a new Prime Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali has been tipped to become the long-term solution to Malaysian leadership. A relatively reserved and quiet politician, Azmin has been involved in Malaysian politics for 30 years. Like many other progressive politicians in the current administration, Azmin shares the same worry about religion and racial devision. However, as the head of the Minister of Economic Affairs (a newly created ministry in the current administration), Azmin is more troubled by the economic aftermaths of failed programs such as the BR1M.

According to Japan's traditional order of succession, he is the 126th monarch. Naruhito’s accession also marked the beginning of the Reiwa [interpreted as “beautiful harmony”] era. Bilateral relations with Japan have grown from strengthen to strength with various ministerial and official visits undertaken during the period. Nude photos: Wong offers to quit Malaysiakini.com Feb 17, 09 Rahmah Ghazali Selangor executive councillor Elizabeth Wong today offered to quit her state cabinet post and state assembly seat following her nude photographs controversy. Wong, who first appeared calm, could not hold back her tears when announcing her decision at a packed press conference at the PKR headquarters in Tropicana, Damansara. "I have received overwhelming support from my family, my constituents, colleagues in Pakatan Rakyat, friends and the public. "However, in the interests of the party, I have decided to offer my resignation as exco and state rep," she said. "I will discuss with Selangor Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim to arrange for the proper hand over of my responsibilities. I will continue to serve the people and fight for justice. "I have done no wrong and I am not ashamed of my sexuality as a woman and as a single person. I have broken no law and everyone has a right to privacy." Her announcement was met with cries of protest from some 30 supporters who had gathered with placards and flowers urging her to stay on. It is now up to Khalid and the party leadership to decide whether or not to accept her resignation. Also present at the press conference were Pakatan Rakyat leaders R Sivarasa, Teresa Kok, Xavier Jayakumar, Zuraida Kamaruddin, Irene Fernandez and PAS Women’s Wing chief Nuridah Salleh. Both Kok and Jayakumar later urged Wong to reconsider her decision. No internal pressure Met later, Jayakumar, who is a PKR supreme council member and Selangor exco, denied that there was any 'internal pressure' for Wong to quit.
